Holiday!

Two days before my precious four-day vacation, my worn-out mind is already set to holiday mode, couldn’t think of anything even the next lines for my programming codes. I was just toggling between minimizing and maximizing the Visual Studio window in front of me. To add up in the holiday ambiance, everyone is dressed down, some even wearing shorts and slippers and many of my colleagues were already gone in their seats.

Yey! Tapos na ang pag aantay

The Yellow Shirt Day

I declare 22nd of December as The Yellow Shirt Day. Hehehe. We showed up at the office amazed that we all wearing yellow shirts. I was holding my Pooh pillow while Gems carries her yellow stuffed flower. Cool!

Good News

The heavy traffic this afternoon was the worst this week. I almost travelled 2.5 long hours from Cavite to Makati City. I had to cancel my lunch appointment that time.

Baclaran day + Christmas rush + Fire incident = nth Late for the month = Suspension list

Then I got a 40-minute call from my sister while I was on the bus. I didn’t mind a number people looking at me during our conversation because she was telling money matters – aka kaching! Hehehe, I almost forgot that I was in the middle of a traffic jam. I missed my sister from that conversation because we were reminiscing about our Christmas and New Year three years ago in England. We both wished that I could go back there soon.

2009’s Last

As for our last girls’ night out this year, we went to Terry’s at Leviste St in Makati. The prices are not so pocket friendly, I should say, BUT the pleasure is priceless. The Paella is divine and the cheese platter too! The almejas and gambas are great with bread. And the sangria… waaaaaaaaa… the bomb!

We went to their deli area at the 3rd floor and the goods are amazing. There are different kinds of cheeses, cold cuts, chocolates, etc. and wines! The place is not too homey for me but still cozy. I find it neat with their all white background. I’d definitely go back there.

Por favor!

December

My November diary is empty, but never my December. Few days more and I’ll be welcoming the year 2010 in my life with so much excitement and a lot of things to look forward to, especially the salary increase! Hehehe… too early to tell but I am pretty much sure that there is. (KForce people, spoiler alert!***) :D

Year-End Parties

Two down and one more to go… Last 4th of December was our project team party at the roof top of our building. Unlike the previous years, the organizers this year prepared Jollibee children’s party (with beer for the grown ups) and invited kids from the selected orphanage. The kids prepared song and dance numbers for us and in return we gave gifts and tokens for them. It was fun and inspiring.

10th of December held our company part at Oceana with a smoking theme of Casino Royale. Last year’s theme was a Masquerade Party. It was exciting because a lot really dressed up (I was one of them ^_^) and not to mention that we bagged the P20,000.00 grand prize for the MTV spoof contest. Dave posted it here in YouTube. You might hear me laughing out loud at the background during the bloopers part.

On the 30th, we will be celebrating Angels Get Together Party cum Pauline’s 2nd Birthday Party at Ate Lanie’s place.

PSP-ing

One of the things which keeps me busy these days is the Patapon game from my PSP. My officemate, Dave, cracked the console and installed several games which make it more than just a music player just like it has been after I got bored with my Ratchet game. I actually had to allot a maximum if two hours a day in order for me to do other chores at home and there is Facebook of course. I was forced to crack it because the original games are too pricey :/ .

The Aaaahhh in SPA

My first spa experience at the Spa, Greenbelt was awesome. It was truly a great bonding activity for me and my girlfriends, a bit pricey of course but I guess it is definitely a must-do-thing especially for mid-shift software engineers like us.

The whole spa experience was my first time, the 15-minute sauna, the famous ginger tea, the whole body Swedish massage in nude, and Conti’s Roast Beef and Mango Bravo. We will definitely do this again more often starting next year… our next stop, The Spa at The Fort.

I missed writing and sharing stories about my self. Why did I stop anyway?

By the way, it’s my second anniversary here in Multiply! Cheers!
