School Time!

School is opening again soon and the “Tita” in me roused to provide the school supplies for the kids. I always do this for my nieces, Jelly and Jaja. This is a yearly thingy for me, but this year is much special because I am including my cousin’s kids: Nene, Nonoy and Bibi.

I love these kids. Even though they were just busy the whole summer playing outside, they could really cheer me up in different ways. They have been a dose of fresh air to me everyday.

As kids, they love to play – with a lot of fights in between, but then again playing more afterwards. Sometimes I join them. I could play Chinese garter, hide and seek, UNO, Monopoly, or Pictonary with them. My inner child is always alive when I am with them.

They also love to dance and make their own dance moves!

When I cook, these kids are always invited during eating time. I would set up our table in the front yard and call them afterwards. They would tell if the food taste good or not! Trust me, they are genuinely honest when it comes to food. LOL! :-D

I love barbeque and marshmallow parties at night. I would ask them to wear pajamas and gather at my place for the party. And they are always game for this.

We do not talk about love life or job security but I somehow enjoy chatting with them. We would talk about deserts, junk foods, their rivals and sometimes about ghosts.

Summer is over again but I hope they still find time to do their weird stuffs that makes me agree with Edna St. Vincent Millay’s saying that, “Childhood is the kingdom where nobody dies”.

As a gift to them, I gave them the basic things they needed for school. During my student years, I got very fortunate enough to have both of my sister buying all the school supplies I needed.. I am just sharing the blessings now…

Give me some medals on March 2011, okay?

You Changed My Life

We were all set to see the movie, very excited of course. Then I received a text message from my brother-in-law that SM Bacoor was on fire! Huwaaaatt!? Malas naman o? Few more minutes, we could hear the sirens of the firefighters. But it didn’t stop us to see the movie. We went straight to Mall of Asia. Hehehe.

I bought the 3:40pm schedule at the Premier Cinema and at 3:10pm, the queue was already long! Blockbuster pa din talaga. This sequel of ‘A Very Special Love’ has outdone my expectations. And teaches some life lessons too. The best talaga si papa Lloydy and ang kulit ni Sarah. <kilig><kilig><kilig>

How about you, who’s your life’s Miggy Montenegro, Or Laida Magtalas? :D Hehehe. Happy watching!

  please lang, walang kokontra

Breaking news, the fire that hit SM Bacoor started at a restaurant on the ground floor and has reached second alarm before it was put under control at around 11am. Be careful guys, March is frequent fire month here in the Philippines. Let's all be cautious.

Divisoria Adventure II

I got a very busy, hectic and tipid mode week -- turned out to be a great week! Sana hindi na matapos. ^_^

Since last month, I had to cut my budget because I had to spend some money for our house renovation. I will welcome two more families next month. I want them to feel they are really back at H-O-M-E. Raed and I went last Saturday to Divisoria (the mother of all tiangge’s), and instead of buying goodies for myself, I ended up spending for house decorations.

Sowbrang daming tao!

Thanks Raed for this bag. She brought this so we won’t have to buy new ones.

Aside from our shopping, Raed and I also got a chance to talk about what’s new to her… what’s new to me…, and I also got to squeeze out from her some of the hottest tsismis (although bilasa na sa kanila, sa akin smokin’ hot kasi nun ko pa lang nalaman hehehe) in my previous work.

And so I ended up missing the good old days again. :’(

Di bale, I’ll get to see most of them on Sunday at Snowbell’s party.

Thanks Raed for the company, I couldn’t get there without you. Hehehe.

I also did enjoy lifting 20 yards of slipcover fabric (approx weighing 10 kilos) hehehe. We shared the load.

The rain did add up to fun! ^_^

How's Your Weekend?

How’s your weekend? Mine, I would say, is a lot better than weekends that I could remember just staying the whole day inside my room [senti days].

Saturday is grocery day so JellyPotPot and I went to the SM. But before the main event, we went first to Quantum (at naglustay nanaman ng pera ang pamangkin ko…) But she was able to win something. She got key chain and stationery.

Going to the mall without eating is incomplete. Again, we munched at Pizza Hut (as always). She can’t ever complain, ako kaya ang magbabayad. But I know what’s her favorite, Pizza Super Supreme Cheesy Pops with Cheezy Dip!

I was 5 years old when she became my first formal teacher in school. Shocks, I am 28 now! She’s been teaching for more than 20 years na. Right now, she’s already owns a school and she’s Jaja’s teacher in Preparatory level.

And then our last stop was at the supermarket. Well, as usual, Saturday ang daming tao. We spent 15 minutes at the counter. Next week, we'll have a badminton session at Lotus Mall, maiba naman.

Earlier today, aside from going to church and watching replays of US Open Tennis tournament in cable, I also spent my afternoon bonding with DaddyDemz and SisDoll’s family. Ate prepared Chicken Sotanghon and I grilled some corn.

Federer fans like me are very happy to see that he’s up to the finals at US Open this year!!! Way to go, Roger! I am looking forward to see him beat Nadal! But Nadal should beat first Murray. Weeeeee.

Sunday Is Sinigang Day

We were already up at around 4:30 this morning to go to church. We attended the first service and not the usual 9:30am schedule because CoolJo was on a night shift last Saturday. Since Sunday is a Church Day and also a Sinigang Day, I cooked Sinigang na Baka for our lunch. It has been a tradition at our home to cook Sinigang during Sundays. :D .. name it, Sinigang na Baboy, Sinigang na Baka, Sinigang na Hipon, Sinigang na Tanigue, Sinigang sa Bayabas, Sinigang sa Miso, Sinigang sa Kamias, Sinampalukang Manok at kung ano-ano pwedeng gawing Sinigang! Haha.

Earlier this morning, DaddyDemz picked the Banana Bud/Blossom (puso ng saging) from our neighbor’s banana tree. Nakalawit kasi sa bakod namin… I guess it is legal in the Philippine Law. Gusto nya daw ng Kilawin for tonight. He also harvested some of his Pechay, Okra and Talong. Maghilig sya magtanim. The rest of the ingredients for our SInigang were bought from the grocery. We change from Knorr to Maggi Sinigang Mix (fruity ang asim talaga) So buo na ang Sinigang! I got two thumbs up from DaddyDemz tastebuds ^_^

My weekend is ending… but without watching CSI: Las Vegas, New York and Maimi @ AXN!

Next week will be another tiring week at work but exciting. I have another presentation before the week ends. Kaya Mo Yaaaaan!

July is already on its 3rd week! Ang bilis!

Ang tagal pa ng sweldo.

I gained a kilo this week! Yehey! 6-7 more kilos to go.

My friend infinity has arrived the other day from London; I guess this is another exciting reunion of Angels.

DaddyDemz’s friend has also arrived from Australia yesterday. When we got home from the mall, their barkadas were gathered at our place… may Barkada-Nights-Out daw sila.

I am thinking about my Canada application. Batotoy is already asking when I am going to submit it.

JellyPotpot and I had a great time at the mall yesterday. I gave her a treat for getting five 100%’s out of six Long Exams last quarter. Mana talaga sa Tita.

I’ll cook Adobong Pusit tomorrow for my baon.

And for my last thought for this day: I just hope some people just mind their own business instead of talking other people’s lives! I think this conveys a very clear message.

The Shoes

I love shoes. Of course! I am a girl :D But I am in control. I only buy shoes that I NEED. I need more than one rubber shoes, several flats, and a lot more. Hahaha! Adik!

Let me share with you my collection:

Slippers

First is this slipper I got from UK. Hindi ko pa sya sinusuot. I still have my slippers at home. Daddy Demz also got a pair (syang-sya). :D

I bought this blue one on the left at SM Department Store. Mura lang yan, only P75.00. I wear this after taking a bath going to my room.

Flats

I love flats; aside from being easy to wear it also gives me a varicose veins-free experience. I bought this brown shiny flats with brown ribbon from PrimaDonna at P900.00 with this free black bubble shoes (below)that I can wear anytime especially when it is raining. It’s so easy to wash!

This silver flats on the right is one of my favorite. I bought this from Next, a brand in UK. I can wear this best with shorts or mini skirts. (Corny)

Wedges

I bought this one on the right in SM Megamall with Megs. She also bought the green one. We only paid

P9xx.00 ata. We got it with discount kasi P1,000.00+ yung original price.

This beige one on the left(nasira ata yung lense ng camera ko kaya naging green, haha!)is also a Next shoes. Favorite ko to with maong pants.

Rubber Shoes

I bought this Skechers shoes at SM Mall of Asia for P3,200.00. Na-“sales talk” lang ako nung staff, new arrival daw, kasi I was actually looking for a badminton shoes. Eto ang naiuwi ko! But I already learned to love this shoe.

Next is my Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars. I was really looking for a Gray one pero wala akong makita na may black/gray lining sa gilid. New arrival din daw to (na sales talk nanaman ako). It is a multi-layered (chocolate brown at kulay tae) and double strings (beige and choccolate brown din) kaya interesting. :D I bought it at P3,300.00.

This Addidas shoes was a pasalubong from my sister Bunetber. Hindi ko pa din sya nagagamit. Yung sintas hindi ko pa din nakakabit (Trivia: “nakakabit” is a Caviteña way of saying “kinakabit” from the root word “kabit”).

This one in skyblue is a BootLeg brand. I love to match this with my white/skyblue polo shirt.

Scandals

I love sandals because I can wear it when I go to work and I can also match it with my Sunday dress when I go to church. This MarioD’Boro black pointed scandals is worn with slacks and sometimes with my black dresses. I bought it for P600.00 only. I find MarioD’Boro shoes cheaper but elegant.

I bought this beige sandals at BHS in Oxford.

Other scandals are here:

Boots

Okay, the black boots is what I used to wear when I was still in La Salle. Pag naka slacks din. Lalo akong tumatangkad pag sinusuot ko yan. I always hear “ang tangkad mo” pag suot ko yan. Hehehe.

This one came from London. I wore this during winter time. It was snowing when I took my flight  from London to Manila. Makapal na ang yelo sa labas. Muntik pa nga macancel yung flight kasi foggy. Actually, the plan was I will change into flat shoes pagbaba ko sa eroplano.

Later, i'll show you my bags ^_^

Money In, Money Out

After the back-aching laundry work in the morning yesterday, Jellypotpot and I went to SM Supermarket carrying with us the grocery list made by Daddy Demz. The price of rice is totally upsetting!

But before the grocery, we went straight up to the shops where we indulge our eyes with shoes, clothes and accessories. I told Jellypotpot to tell me what she really likes to have and I’ll buy it for her. She wasted no time and blurted to me ‘bathing suit’!!!!

We went to the teen’s section and I found this two-piece cutie little swim suit which she also liked the design. After paying at the counter, we went to Tom’s World and wasted some more money. Hahaha! The next stop was at Pizza Hut (Jellypotpot’s request)

I spent P4000.00 in this episode. I am still in angst until now about the price of rice and other grocery items. ‘Butas na ang bulsa kooooo’.

I got nothing so much about this entry aside from forgetting Jellypotpot’s swimsuit and pizza for Jaja at the baggage counter. Good thing, Cool Jo volunteered to go back to SM and get the items.

Whammy, Whammy, Bigyan Mo Ako ng Money!

Sigh…I can compare the way I earn and lose my money to a game show in GMA 7, “The Whammy: Push Your Luck”

It is funny how easy you get the money and more easy to lose it. I already lost my budget for the New Years Eve! If only I could revert back the times when I misused the money that I should be saving for the New Year Celebration, I shouldn’t have done that. Good thing I will be receiving a bonus this January, enough for me to use before the next payday.

I couldn’t refuse my niece, Jellypopot, to go to SM this afternoon because I already promised that to her few weeks ago. You know… promises to young kids are precious. I believe that I made her happy after the movie watching, arcade playing, pizza munching and shopping that we did. I can see her tiredness as she is sleeping on my bed right now, mouth open and drooling. ^_^

For now, I need to find low budget recipes for our New Year celebrations… no more big fountains and Sinturon Ni Hudas this year…

What's Inside Your Bag?

Have you visited a site where it has a bunch of pictures showing people’s stuffs inside their bag? Well, it made me interested to show mine :D

I am a bag person nowadays. I couldn’t go out without a bag. It feels like my get up is not complete without bringing even a small hand/pouch bag. This was totally opposite of me during my college years in La Salle where I was only putting my money inside my pocket and that was it! Sometimes, I don’t even bring a ball pen. (Thank God I survived college!)

Right now, I already own 20+ bags excluding those I have given away already to Sis Doll. My favorite bag right now is a golden silver NEXT bag I bought in UK. Inside it I got 2 pouch bags. The pink one is where I put my make ups and the white one for my cards and cash. Before I learned how to segregate my things, I just put everything inside the bag. But that was so messy, especially when my lipstick cap just got loosed accidentally.

This is what makes me happy about being a G-i-r-L!

By the way, i was using my K800i camera phone to take the picture that's why you can't see it in the photo ^_^v
