The Hunger Games

Now that I have watched the movie, I became very motivated to read the book!

http://www.thehungergamesmovie.com/I had movie date with Marc last week at SM Mall of Asia and I almost ruined the night just because I got hungry. ^_^v After we bought our all-rime favorite Gong-Cha Wintermelon Milk Tea, the smell of the crepes called me so I went straight to the next store and ordered ultimate beef crepe. Perfecto! Sarap!  That was why we were five minutes late for the last full show. When we arrived, the balcony was almost full so we decided to sit at the orchestra. Aside from the guy who was having a phone call conversation with his client behind us – I think he is an insurance agent – and Marc’s complains (from time to time ha-ha!) that he was not able to watch the first five minutes because we were late… I find the story very interesting and entertaining. Oh, please let me add the shaky camera. Parang view ng langaw yung nakikita ko, pa ese-ese yung camera kahit na nag uusap lang ng matiwasay yung dalang bida. Tsk tsk.

The movie is very viewer-sensitive in terms of the attacking-fighting part. They were presented in a manner that no extreme blood swarming all over the scene but instead, when a boy or a girl is being attacked, the final sight would be the dead body lying on the ground after the fight scene – nothing extremely brutal.

I also adore how women empowerment is discussed in the book. The protagonist's motivation to fight for herself, for her family and for her district came from her brokenness which, for me, makes the story more heart-felt. I cried at times. One was when Katniss volunteered to replace her younger sister during the selection of "tributes" and the other was was when Rue, the little girl from District 11, was killed by a bow. I couldn’t think of any actress that could play the role of Katniss beside Jennifer Lawrence. Later I discovered that Jennifer also played the role of Mystic in Xmen series. Cool! I am looking forward to the next episode of “The Hunger Games’ trilogy. I would say I liked it better than the “Twilight” series. J

Before we went home, we had midnight snack at Starbucks MOA. The Ultimate Grilled Cheese is awesome! May bago na kaming uulit ulitin J

Random Thoughts

ChaTime Philippines

We have visited two branches so far, in Landmark and the other one in MOA. There are always lines on their stores, because people are willing to wait for their teas! Try it and I know you’ll love it! Don’t forget to ask for their loyalty card coz you might need it for you next rounds! ;-)

Secret Garden

We had another special dinner at Sonya’s Garden for the second time. This ‘worst-kept-secret’ garden never fails to bring out the romantic mood in us. During our first time, most guests were couples but this time – big families! But in spite of, um, happy noise from the other tables, we find our perfect spot just near the kitchen – with easy access on refills and requests. ^_^v

After a funny movie, Johnny English, from Rowan Atkinson at SM DasmariƱas, we arrived at Tagaytay just the perfect time when all the lights at restaurant are sparkling on. For two hours, we really enjoyed the food, the ambiance, the sound, and the mushy talks. Love, love, love.

Ideal Weight

Did you know that I am 4 pounds away from my ideal weight??? Hell YEAH!!!! But I still need more workouts to spread the fats on their perfect places. 0_o

Bora Hindi Natuloy

My close friends knew that I was having the vacation of my life in the islands of Kalibo and Boracay! I planned it for more than two months. Everything from the plane tickets, accommodations, budget and even the itinerary were planned by yours truly. But but but… I had to make way for my Brazil trip. :-/

I realized that fate is still getting aligned with my rule that “Pupunta lang ako sa Boracay kapag may ka holding hands na ako.” Hahaha!  I said it to myself for about two years ago… Well, I still yet to grant it to myself in the future…

Joseph Birthday

Oh how we really love to sing! For Josephs birthday this year, we ended up at Center Stage in Makati City to belt our favorites songs after our dinner at Sinangag Express (SEx). Belated happy birthday, Joseph, even though our Boracay party didn’t happen, we still have a lifetime to plan for it ;-)

Random Recollections

©©©

I surpassed White’s first 6 months preventive maintenance schedule after being so paranoid with all the negative service feedbacks for Honda Alabang branch especially items or parts being missing or not replaced! I think mine went okay. I put away all valuables items inside my car, including tools at the trunk. I set my appointment over the phone and then learned that the online appointment is not working. OLATS. The number I dialed was 02-902-9439.

Even though my Service Advisor (that’s what they call the guy that should assist you all throughout the process) offered free ride to Alabang Town Center/Festival Mall, I opt to stay at the lounge area, watch HBO and get myself comfortable over the couch with unlimited coffee. I did not have much sleep that morning because I came home around 2:00AM. At 8:00AM, I was at the car wash (and later realized that a car wash was included in the service. Duh!) I came 30 minutes earlier at 09:30AM as advised, and by 2:30PM, White looks good as new – with 3 movies for 5 hours. I even tried to get some sleep pero nagdalawang isip ako kasi baka bigla na lang ako ngumanga don! Hahaha!

White’s A/C is even colder this time. Also, I have been having issues with my shift stick at gear 1 and it is gone now. It cost me P4,519.00 for the whole service – change oil/items replaced/fluids filled/parts checked/car wash. Next schedule is on January 2012.

I had a hard time driving pauwi, super traffic at Aguinaldo Hi-way area. Ano pa nga ba ang aasahan ko, it was Saturday at the peak of rush. I was supposed to go to Dave’s birthday party pero hindi ko na talaga kaya.

©©©

I prepared Fried Lumpia earlier today while Beef Broccoli yesterday, perhaps Tinolang Manok tomorrow.

Mistakenly sending a text message to someone whom both of you are *not on speaking terms* mode (hahaha!)… is not the best feeling in the whole world! There were two supposed-to-be recipients on my message; unfortunately, the other one was alphabetically residing next to that person. You might be thinking why that person is still on my list. Ok ok, I don’t have plans of deleting any; I just think that is sooo immature. I used to do that long time ago, and then I add them again later LOL.

It was so embarrassing! Imagine me doing a facial expression while on the bus with my right hand slowly covering my face! (Now I am really laughing!) The pride was kicking in, I must say. I even blamed the roller on my Blackberry Bold. Ang sensitive kasi, kaunting touch mo lang, gumagalaw na!!! Those have phones like mine would totally understand me. *wink* *wink*. Okay, enough of the explanation! Hahahha.

When it rains, it pours. There were two recipients and I badly needed the text to reach them until *boom!!!*

Sa kanya lang na send…
Piso na lang pala ang load ko (I blamed the internet charging of Globe)…
‘Message not sent’ na dun sa isa…
The text didn’t reach any of my intended receivers…

The text was about work and it was important to me. When I came to the office, (White’s coding by the way, so I took the bus) I fixed what needs to be fixed and I moved on. ^_^v I logged on to BPI for mobile reload, coz I always make sure I have calling capabilities since I started driving. Mahirap na baka magkaaberya ako sa daan.

Later that day, I received a message and guess what?... from that person. I did not really expect to receive one, or I did not bother. I just made sure my replies were calm and mature. Hahahaha! SUCCESS!

©©©

We watch Transformers 3 at Greenbelt. MOA was our first choice, but having volume of movie goers there in our minds, we decided to go to Greenbelt 3 instead. Inay ko po! Pang 8:00PM na ang next available cinema time. Then we ended up seeing the movie at Greenbelt 1. I like the movie and I love Rosie’s pretty white wardrobe!

Pepper Lunch at dinner! Swak!!!

How cute is this?
It is Monica and our new dog, Cha-Cha.

Vinegar for your hair… anyone?

A Busy New Year Starter

Jan 1. Let me rewind to you the first half of my January 2011 by starting off with our New Year celebration! It was a simple yet special January 1 for us at home because we are still happy and healthy together like we always pray for. Dith and Kuya had overseas calls earlier that day to avoid the phone line clogs by night. It was a shabu-shabu dinner for us, inspired by one of our dinners during our family reunion last year – yummy! The day before, that was the first time I drove White all the way to SM and parked! Hehehe.

Parking is … driving me crazy!!!

I also bought Tequilla, first time for our own consumption. I used to buy this spirit as gift! As expected, I only had 5 small shots; just an itsy bitsy tiny sip for Ate Doll and Ninang Nina and the rest went straight to Kuya Joel’s throat until the next day. Hahaha!

Jan 3. Until now, I am still excited about having my first car. Trust me it is way more than having a new laptop! On the first week, it was funny that I got obsessed with car-wash! Hahahaha. I got White washed twice in just a week!

Jan 4-7. I also got a one week of driving practice from home to work and from work to home, accompanied by Diko Ermie. It was fun. I got to learn a lot of stuffs. But I still suck in overtaking, hanging and parking! Grrrrr. I need more and more practice. That is why Tatay did not allow me to use the car alone this week going to Makati.

Jan 8. At the first weekend, we enrolled White at Big Bert’s Professional Detailers in Ortigas for their OptiGuard paint protective maintenance program for a year. Too bad Marc mistakenly caught of beating red lights just a block away from Home Depot! P200.00 straight to someone’s pocket! Then we went to Megamall after for a bunch of cleaning stuffs. We also got lost in C5 while almost running of gas and work waiting for me at home! Hahahaha.

Jan 13. I also got my non-pro driver’s license at last! … With the help of Kuya Peter and a lesson of Karma, big time! Hahhaha!

Jan 14. I did my very first hands on car wash for White – followed carefully the instructions from Big Bert’s! I had Ailyn as my assistant. Tire black na lang kulang sa cleaning stuffs collection ko. Had dinner with Marc at Sultan Mediterranean Cafe a.k.a Sinbad and caught the waitress puting extra amount on my bill! Duh!? Hindi mo kami maloloko. Prices are cheaper compare before, ranging from P160-P400. Food is less tastier than before.

Jan 15. After a week, we went to Honda again for the installation of the backing sensor. Sucked again in parking at Alabang, watched entertaining Tron, got lost again in Festival mall, got Cruzee car washed in the middle of the night, had a blast at Jo&Kristle’s place while videoking and then it rained! Wahahaha. Carwash goodbye. We were supposed to go to Buon Giorno but time did not permit.

Jan 17. I caught Putol peeing at White’s tire!!!!! Grrrrrrr. I had to seriously talked to him (i hope he understood!)

Jan 18.  I had hilarious chats with Ate Lanie, Ate Rina, Tinay and Sheh! I was really laughing my heart out! and later that day I had car care session with Warren.

Jan 19. I practiced parallel parking again at home. Bagsak daw sabi ng Tatay. I have been pigging out with food this week O_O. Worked to the extreme and planned crazy stuff like Skydiving in Clark, Pamapanga on December 2011.

These were my busy weeks! ^_^

December The Sixth Is

the first day of my two-week early morning shift this month. I have been always looking forward to this schedule – not only I make money *at home* but I create excitement to work soon *at the office*! ^_^

… the birthday of my sweetest Ate. I hope she had a wonderful day. My wish is for her to be blessed like she always does. She is such a loving sister, nobody can deny! I look up to her in every way. Sometimes she could be sensitive, but she is like the most thoughtful of them all.

… the day I discovered my two BPI Savings accounts are disabled for deposit? Whaaat? BPI , are you kidding meee? What do you call a savings account that I cannot put my money on, literally? Well, technically, the Bank Manager in BPI-Bacoor told me that there are such accounts, where the branch tags the accounts for exclusivity. In my case, I have the payroll account and a save up account drawn from the payroll – unfortunately, both came from the root word “peyrol” . So I have to go to the branch, etchetera etchetera chuvachacha! I really wasted my time on the queue for an hour.

… that one day I could have missed to celebrate but will never miss to remember. Nothing more than smizing with two Burger King Whooper Junior meals over Narnia!

Happy December The Sixth!!! :-)

Never Say Never

… ♪♫ I will never say never! (I will fight)
I will fight till forever! (make it right)
♪♫

The 2010 remake of Karate Kid movie is awesome! Jaden is sooooo lovable portaying the character of Dre Parker - and THE CUTE LITTLE ABS!!!! It was really worth waiting on that very long lines. The plot of the story is pretty much straight forward but still enjoyable, so much – especially for the kiddy-hearted ME :-) Even without seeing the movie, I would probably know the ending but I still enjoyed the scenes! Kids even clapped their hands when Dre won on the final battle – while I could NOT!

Of course, I got teary-eyed towards the ending part! ;-D I love to see Jackie Chan did something different in this movie. Love you, Mr. Han!

It was really a night to remember. A night I could call “magical”. The “magic” of double large Burger King Whooper, large Onion Rings, biggie Sarsi, Piknik Shoestrings, Potato chips, Kenny Roger’s Chicken Quarter, cups of side dishes, muffins and rice – never done in years!!!

It was also the first time I saw Noelle Cassandra, a harpist (or whatever they call her :-D) and really she did look like an angel while playing the harp! Hehehe. Kung ako kaya mag play ng harp, magmumukha din kaya akong angel? :-D

And the magical full moon guided us on our way home because it was already midnight!!! And the rest is history.

A Day Of My Past

If you were to relinquish a day of your past to Rumpelstiltskin, what would it be?

Last weekend, we watched the final installment of SHREK: “Forever After” over Starbucks Signature Hot Choco and Espresso Macchiato in Mall of Asia IMAX, which by the way, was just my second time :-D e mahal e !puput-putput!. The first one was another animated movie, UP, last year. Although we were seated in the left most front row O_O (duling na duling ako haha), we still had great laughs at Ri-donkey-lous Donkey and Cat-astrophic Puss. Ooh I still love that Puss look when he asked Donkey to lend his tongue for him. Hahaha! But for me, the first installment is still the best among the Shrek series.

Life has been boring for Shrek after his marriage. However everything that he has gone through after being fooled by the evil Rumpelstiltskin :/, made him realized the value of his one true love, family and friends. If ever I would be placed in a position where Shrek was put into, I would do everything to make everything back in its right places and not to lose everything with doing nothing. Naks! I know I have been corny through the years, so DEAL with it!! hahahaha

From the theater, we went straight to Gilligan’s Island for a late dinner before we called it a night.

Going back to question -- a day of my past to Rumpelstiltskin … I would give up 13th of May 1980

JOKE!!! :-D

I guess it would be … NONE!

Round is ... Foxy!

Although we were a little disappointed since the third Ice Age movie isn’t in IMAX yet, I still enjoyed watching it in 2D. I think “Dawn of the Dinosaurs” is the best among the three series. The movie is “cute”,”sweet” and really emphasizes the idea that a family is a thing of great value.

We waited on the long queue for 15 minutes until we reach the ticket booth, good thing there were enough marshals to organize the lines and prevent sneakers. I think movie goers were crazier over Transformers because five minutes before the screening time, the Ice age 3 cinema was still half empty when we arrived.

(Spoilers alert!) Meet Buck, a new character to enjoy, the one-eyed heroic weasel that help the original characters to save Sid! I love the flying dinosaur scenes.

Most of the action takes place in the lost world Jurassic Park beneath the ice which Sid discovered. I enjoyed the “laugh epidemic” scenes with Manny, Diego and the two possum with their “helium voices”.

Kids will really love the movie. It might not be the most exciting movie this year, Up and Harry Potter is also on top of my list, but this is a nice way to spend an hour and a half with your family and friends.

Wimbledon Championships

10:00pm.          It’s Roddick(6) and Federer(2) this time. DaddyDemz is watching outside while I am here inside my room because at the same time, I am playing Farm Town.

11:00pm           Watching with DaddyDemz at the living room. Federer is going to lose! Waaaaaa.

12:44am           This is the first time I have watched a set to reach 8-8, usually it’s only 7-6.

12:46am           Natulog na si Tatay. Ninerbyos na. hahaha. Bumalik na ako ng kwarto.

12::48am          Tying again at 9-9. Ano ba yan!

12:50am           10-9. One more and Federer will win! SIsigaw ako ng “Peaches!” pag nagkataon.

12:53am           10-10!

12:55am           11-10!

01:01am           11-11!

01:03am           12-11! (Matulog na kaya ako?)

01:06am           12-12! Susuko na yata ako.

01:07am           Matutulog na ako.

Road To 55 (Part II)

Road to 55 (Part II)

I’m on my halfway to my goal! Yey! Just a few more calories I think I can make it to my target weight. Maybe that is why I love eating pasta and pizza because these foods are rich in carb, great for gaining some load.

New Hair

Welcome to my shoulder length hair. I don’t have a proper reason why I had my hair cut aside from beating the boredom I guess.

I still miss my long hair.

Snatchers Magnet

I really hate the feeling when I am in the middle of hold-ups and snatching situations. I don’t know why I bother writing this. The truth is, writing these makes me upset and remember all of my alarming experiences with thieves. The last one was Wednesday midnight on my way home.

Up

I can’t wait to see this movie. I have watched the trailer from a Disney site and made me more excited! The movie was already opened in US theaters last week with multi million sales on the first day. This is another creation of Pixar.

Flu Protection

For P390.00, I am now protected from flu for a year –- unfortunately, not the A(H1N1) flu virus, by the way. I can really feel that I am a little bit more protected now. No sneezing, no runny nose and no cough for almost two weeks now. Aside from my daily intake of Centrum, I also take ascorbic acid. I definitely need these extra protections because of my work schedule.

Half Priced Pizza

If you are on a tight budget, try visiting Joey Pepperoni Pizzeria and get 50% off on all pizza. Sounds inviting… hell Yeah! Their pastas and paninis are great too!

Doll Domination

Another half priced item is my Pussycat Dolls concert ticket on July 11. Original price is P2,800.00 and I only need to buy Clear 200ml shampoo to enjoy the 50% off. I am excited but the weather worries me. Is there something like a ‘moon dance’?

French Open

As I write this post I am also watching Safina(1) and Kuznetsova(7) finals and the latter just won. Tomorrow is the big day for Roger Federer and also for me! I still dream of watching tennis live someday.

Sims 3 is Out!

It all started out of curiosity from one of the late Ernie Baron’s episode of ‘Knowledge Power’ then became a hobby. I really love the house designing part and the game itself.

Going back to Sims 3, I’d definitely like to have this game. New features and storylines of course. I just need to buy new computer and give this tired laptop a break. I am looking forward to build there a family I can’t have so far in real life.

The Unborn

Rating:★★
Category:Movies
Genre: Horror
I watch ‘The Unborn’ movie before we went to MOA for shopping yesterday. The story is a bit interesting but I find it less thrilling. The film didn’t scare me that much. I only shouted once only in that very loud noise at the chapel scene. The movie is okay but not the best. I was a victim of a very appealing trailer. @_@

You Changed My Life

We were all set to see the movie, very excited of course. Then I received a text message from my brother-in-law that SM Bacoor was on fire! Huwaaaatt!? Malas naman o? Few more minutes, we could hear the sirens of the firefighters. But it didn’t stop us to see the movie. We went straight to Mall of Asia. Hehehe.

I bought the 3:40pm schedule at the Premier Cinema and at 3:10pm, the queue was already long! Blockbuster pa din talaga. This sequel of ‘A Very Special Love’ has outdone my expectations. And teaches some life lessons too. The best talaga si papa Lloydy and ang kulit ni Sarah. <kilig><kilig><kilig>

How about you, who’s your life’s Miggy Montenegro, Or Laida Magtalas? :D Hehehe. Happy watching!

  please lang, walang kokontra

Breaking news, the fire that hit SM Bacoor started at a restaurant on the ground floor and has reached second alarm before it was put under control at around 11am. Be careful guys, March is frequent fire month here in the Philippines. Let's all be cautious.

HUAAAAAAAAAAA-LLLLLLIIIIIIIIII

Wall-E is not only a love story. But I just fell in love with Wall-E and EVE as they go along on their adventure. The way Wall-E followed EVE in the space because he doesn’t want to lose the one and only friend he has… and … the way EVE cared for Wall-E because she also learned to love Wall-E … mapapa “awwww” ka talaga. Even if 90% of the movie has no dialogs, I still understood every movement and expression of the characters.

Here’s Ailyn and Jellypotpot with Wall-E and EVE

Now here’s me and Jellypotpot

But behind that love story is a very interesting discovery about human satisfaction. As we all know (from the trailer) that everyone left from earth because it was not anymore inhabitable, a lot of garbage and pollution. Everyone went to a place called "AXIOM" which is a large spaceship away from earth that symbolizes "pleasure and heavenly". When the film started, it was year 2700, They were almost 700 years living in AXIOM. Everyone is pampered by the robot, no suffering, coonflict or tension, just a place to relax, not anyone is obligated to work -- only the captain who gives announcements and commands to the robots. But this screnario makes it like a hell because everyone was like a living dead. The film even showed all the humans to very fat and overweight who can't even stand up with their own feet. Everyone is using a robotic bed that they used to move to one place to another. They only sleep, wake up, eat, chat, without asking what is happening around them and only rely on technology. People didn't even notice the stars in the sky.

When the captain discovered a plant is starting grow again on earth (because of EVE's exploration on earth), the captain became very interested and he eagerly rediscover what was life on earth really was. I guess "instant gratification" on food and other needs is not what people want. For me, life can be only be perfect when there exists both sadness and hapiness, success and failures, pain and glory... The story ended when they come back to earth even if the robots tried to stop them. They planted trees, experienced real joy and hapiness. Yun lang :D. Two thumbs up, Wall-E!

We went straight to Pizza Hut for our dinner. And since today is grocery day, I never failed to bring my grocery list prepared by DaddyDemz!

A Very Special Love

This movie is very fun to watch. Blockbuster talaga sa SM Bacoor! I caught this movie on a rainy afternoon last Sunday before going to the supermarket. Kaya siguro ako lalong nagkasakit. When I came to the ticket booth, SUS! Parang pila sa NFA rice sa sobrang haba. Most of the watchers were teen barkadas, lovers, GrandPas & GrandMas and Mom & Dad with their kids because it has a GP rating.

I am a fan of John Lloyd Cruz even from his Tabing Ilog days. College pa ako non :D Iniimagine ko pa noon ako si Eds hahahahaha! Baliw!

Super nakakaaliw yung movie, especially the sun dance. Naiyak din ako doon sa scene na nagsusumbong si John Lloyd sa nanay nya. Also, young professionals would easily relate to the movie because it was set in a dynamic office environment and would reflect the usual office scenarios. GO watch the movie and expect to hear ‘kilig screech’ from ladies. :D Nakakatawa nga kasi yung katabi ko eh mga Moms, kinikilig din sila. Hahaha. Aside from the “Boss-Secretary” love angle, there were also other themes in the movie that added up to the spice. Even Rowell Santiago did a pretty great job as the villain in the story. Everyone who came out from the cinema was all with smiles in their faces kasi hindi nasayang yung P120.00 :D

Little Wonders

Meet The Robinsons” was my movie of the week. I find it very colorful and packed with powerful lessons not only for the young ones but for grown ups like me :D I don’t know why I didn’t watch it in theater last year. But I enjoyed watching it in Disney channel this evening :)

Lewis said “…let go of the past and keep moving forward…”, he’s right because you will never know what is waiting for you in the future. Things might be totally awful right now but it is up to us to make some good choices :)

And this song made me cry at the end…

Little Wonders Lyrics

let it go,
let it roll right off your shoulder
don’t you know
the hardest part is over
let it in,
let your clarity define you
in the end
we will only just remember how it feels

our lives are made
in these small hours
these little wonders,
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away,
in these small hours,
these small hours still remain

let it slide,
let your troubles fall behind you
let it shine
until you feel it all around you
and i don’t mind
if it’s me you need to turn to
we’ll get by,
it’s the heart that really matters in the end

our lives are made
in these small hours
these little wonders,
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away,
but these small hours,
these small hours still remain

all of my regret
will wash away some how
but i can not forget
the way i feel right now

in these small hours
these little wonders
these twists & turns of fate
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away but these small hours
with these small hours, still remain,
they still remain
these little wonders
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away
but these small hours
these little wonders still remain

"The" Big Panda

I watched Kung Fu Panda last weekend and most of the lines and scenes totally made me laugh and inspired me in so many ways, though it was a very short movie—just about less than an hour and a half. I was the one laughing the most inside the cinema throughout the movie. I consider this movie as an animated film not just for kids but more so for adults, really for the whole family.

I am not going to summarize here the story (I suggest you watch it too!) but I am about to tell you what are the lessons I learned from “the” giant panda and the movie. I find them very meaningful and inspiring… and very timely.

The past and future pitfall hole

“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.” – Oogway

I think it was Oogway’s way of delivering these lines that hit me. He is an old sea turtle which gives you a feeling that he is a guy with full of experiences in life. It is true that most of us are very attached to our successes and failures in the past that we fear the most to commit mistakes again today. We make ourselves trap in these fears and we forget that in order for us to be happy is to appreciate the “gift” that we have –- which is “today”…we just have to make the most out of it. Never trap yourself to be worried all the time. If you succeed, your worrying is wasted, but if you really fail, you only worried twice as much.

The mirror after triumph

“The secret is … there’s no secret, just YOU” – Mr. Ping

Another trap that we tend to get into is our search for victory or success. Like Po and Tai Lung, both dreamed of becoming the Dragon Warrior and getting the Dragon Scroll, but with different goals. Both achieved the Dragon Scroll and found out that it was just an empty mirror-like scroll that has nothing. The scroll is just reflection of the one looking on it.

Po
saved the village and Tai Lung died with darkness in his heart.

If you look at the mirror after being successful, will you be happy with what do you see? Will you be satisfied with what you have attained? I think the most significant question is that will you be proud of what you have become?

When you achieve your goal and become successful out of dishonesty, a lot of cheating, causing pain and hurting others, or even taking for granted of the people that means a lot to you like your friends and loved ones… this will definitely never make you happy.

Never ever give up

“You just need to believe. You just need to believe.” - Oogway

Before the giant panda became the Dragon Warrior, no one ever believed that he will become one, except for Oogway. Oogway even told Shifu that “there are no accidents”. In life, ordinary become extraordinary because we don’t give up with our dreams -- but never exchange your value with your dreams. Po became the Dragon Warrior without losing a pound or changing his passion for food but became his advantage to win the battle.

To my readers, I hope I have shared with you some inspiring lessons in life that I have learned from this animated movie. Go watch it and have some good laughs. If you don’t want to pay for the overpriced movie tickets, you can ask my friend because she has a DVD copy. :D

I also admire Oogway’s death scene. It was very simple as Oogway disappeared inside a thousand flying leaves of a peach tree. I wish death is just as simple as that.

By the way, I really love the kitty version of Tai Lung! Sooooo so so cute.
