April-May-June Birthdays

Remember my month-long birthday celebration? Well, this is still kind of part of it, and more! Sheh, Gabu, Ate Lanie and I joined forces to celebrate our birthdays, following the first celebration when our friend, Melay, visited Manila.

Melay’s Visit and the First Quarter Celebrantion

Melay migrated to England few years ago to be with her husband, Clive, who is very dear to Angels. The mega visit was joined by celebrating the birthdays of Ate Malou, Ate Rina and Melay. The preparation was totally craaaazy! Hahahaha! How could I forget that? But it turned out perfect anyway. With the kiddie games -- sack race, hampas-palayo and pinoy henyo -- we enjoyed it so much and the pasalubong from Melay of course!

How nice to see out matching shirts :-D Pakulo yan ni Ate Lanie. I got mine for free + dog tag!

Second Quarter Celebrantion

I have to mention that the northen-ers were the first ones to arrive at Ate Lanie place – not the usual scenario. We used to be late every get together, but not on that day. Hahaha! Bakit nga ba?

The cake was awesome! It was gift from Melay and Clive.

Busog na busog nanaman ako, at may take out pa. Next is Madie’s birthday celebration!

La Salle Visit

After three long years, I finally got a chance (…or courage) to go back and reminisce my good old days in La Salle. Yeeeha! It’s odd that I did not feel any awkwardness at the place at all; in fact, my last day seems like yesterday.

I got goose bumps all over me when I turned left at the UMC intersection, my first time since the last time I turned my back away from my second home. I had to do it for myself. Hehehe, enough with the drama please ^_^v. With so much pride, I drove over the bridge, from which a lasallian could finally exhale from the busy road of Kadiwa. "Pag nasa bridge ka na, nakalagpas ka na sa traffic pauwi" :-D... I had to stop at the guard post. And soon enough, Manong Guard recognized me and let me pass without hesitation. It felt good to see him again.

I passed by Palaruang La Salle and Oval for the first time riding with White. The route I used to know is different now, and visiting West Campus was busted. On my way to ITC, everything I see was green! Nothing beat the old trees defining the road going to my sanctuary. At that point, I was so excited – excited for my eyes to see what my mind has been imagining all throughout my trip.

I met Tech Boys and Joseph at the parking lot, waiting for me to join lunch. I also met Ate Rina, some of my ITC girls and Marvin. Hungry and exhausted from waiting White’s paint job, we went straight to a local canteen outside the campus. We feasted over Sisig and Tapsilog. :-) Momo’s restaurant was my first choice but trying something new isn’t bad. I loved to see everyone in one long table eating together with me!!!! T_T

I went back to ITC building because I had to. My visit wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t see my former work area, my precious place where I spend my whole journey right after finishing college. While being there, I had my kilig moments with my crush, my first love, built wonderful relationships with my lifetime friends, my first heartache, gained a lot of confidence in my field as being Unit Head, did lifestyle changes and even had my loudest and genuine laughs of my life. Need I say more?

The oldest building entrance. I had so much memories in this place

The people who became my second brothers and sisters

Before I went home, I had catch-up chats with Ate Malou - it never gets old ... the same kwentuhan we used to do when we were seatmates. Then Ate Rina gave me pasalubong - with the same motherly care affection as she handed over the cheese corn to me. :-D Thanks Inay Rina!

It would be the cherry-on-top of my visit if I had met Ate Lanie, Tinay and Sheh at ITC building but I can't have everything.

I had few chats with my old folks – serious talks, naughty talks and tsismisan. To sum up the experience, It was the perfect time to go back – unplanned yet the timing was just right…

Another Year

So, another year has gone by, another Angelsversary for us! 10 years have passed and the angels are still here.

And look who's late! It's me! Hahaha. It was really a busy week for me. I never had Christmas shopping this year because of White. Ninang is so poor! But I managed to get some little presents for the kids. SM saved me!

The party hosts! Our group's mommies - those who keep the little sisters well taken care of. Thank you!!! This year, we got to have special events to celebrate aside from our year-end party, it's Pauline's birthday. Ate Lanie took care of the awesome foodies!

Ate Rina also cooked for our lunch-dinner party

The games! Sheh prepared several games as always and we had so much fun: Pinoy Henyo E-Zone Edition and Guessing Game.

... This picture can prove it!

These kids are always present and every event, they get bigger and bigger. Manang mana sa mga ina!

Here's what I got from Sheh, a teflon!

Next year, we are going to spend the year end party at Miciano's Residence!!!!!

In three years of my blogging career, I have written several posts about the precious memories I have shared with the angels.

I Heart Gelato

Beeee-seeee! It is indeed a busy week for me :-) Thank God I never run out of purpose to wake up each morning and do what’s on my list! And the list includes this JOURNAL! ;-D

Obsessed With White

As you all know, I love Yellow stuffs, but I really really admire Whites too! I got white watches, white pants (I love white pants/shorts – topped with deep colored shirts), white shoes and white bags. Even the laptop I got from Kuya is white! And so now, I am dreaming of a white car! I went to the bank yesterday to submit and pickup some documents. Hopefully, everything will be fine. Yiay! O_o

2 Hours to Home

I am quite blessed with my extreme shift schedules because I could skip the terrible traffic in Manila during rush hours! Grabidad!!! Sobrang hassle talaga. I was actually playing as a chance passenger together with “hundreds” of commuters along Baclaran road last night at around 6:30pm for an hour. I really don’t know how I survived the additional hour standing on bus. I hate to admit – sumakit yung bewang ko (tumatanda ka na ineng!) Fortunate enough, someone from my front get off the bus at SM Bacoor. Sure seat for few mminutes! Hehehe.

Entangled

Later I discovered that the title of the animated film I’d like to watch is ‘Tangled’ :-)) Hahaha “Entangled” daw LOL. Well, related to this. May kalokohan nanaman si Daddy Demz kaya muntik na silang mag away ni Ate. ^_^v Tatay is a very organized person. Mahihiya ang kwarto ko sa salansan ng mga gamit nya. And when he saw the tangled cables of our router-modem connection *BOOM!!!* ayun na. Inorganize nya at hindi na gumana ang internet. Hahaha!!!

Even just thinking about living separately from him makes me feel sad… kaya ko ba?

Cooked Adobong Pusit

What was for lunch? It’s Adobong Pusit. Medyo disappointed ako ng kaunti kasi naubos sa pag wash yung ink nya sa loob kaya hindi masyadong maitim yung sabaw. I really like it darker… actually darkest! Mas maitim, mas masarap! Mas kumakapit sa ngipin, mas masaya! LOL :-))

Message From The Boss

I did not expect to receive an IM message from my ex-boss –but he did! He actually migrated to New Zealand since I left La Salle, so that was the last time I saw him. I was kind of hesitant to ask questions, so just answered back with “. . .You too and your family!”. He replied with a "THANKS". I wonder when will I see him again :-)

Gelatissimo!

A treat of gelato from Gelatissimo topped my day! I picked Pistachio flavor and I looooooove it so much! On December 13th is the first birthday of their branch in Glorietta 5. Sayang, baka hindi ako makapunta :-(

Truffle yung inorder nya, ampait daw T_T

Pistachio! Hmmm, better than Froyo :-D

The Skirt

Muntik ko nang makalimutan na magpapatahi pa ako ng costume para sa party namin! Patay rush na to! Ayun, nasingil tuloy ako ng P400! Will pick on sunday!!!

I don’t know why I have been writing this for two daysnow… I guess super busy :-(

I NEED A VACATION  . . .

Weeeeeeeee!!!!

A Day Strolling At Tagaytay

Another event added to my life’s book and it was everything but fun. My sleepiness from last night’s work didn’t get into my way to enjoy the day. This is my comeback travel down south after I left Dasmariñas and transferred to work in Makati City.

I went to Tagaytay. I was with friends I consider as my little sisters and brothers. This is the kind of gimmick where I miss Fred’s presence. They were my team mates in La Salle. They were those who supported me, catch all the burden of loosing a team mate, and continued my dreams for ITC. I had them at the other side.

At 6:30am, the early bird didn’t catch any worm. Believe it or not, I came earlier than the organizers :P. Hehehe. Maam Trix wasn’t able to come due to some family affairs. Marvin, Ruby, Derek and I waited each other at Walter Dasma. Marvin brought his van. While on our way to Silang, I thought we left Hannah at Dasmariñas. Then I called her number on my phone... Someone picked up and I answered, “Hello?” and on the other line, someone responded “Hello?” The felt voice was just coming from not afar. Derek and I were facing each other, puzzled! Then suddenly <laughter> filled our car because it was actually Derek who answered the phone. Ooops! His number was attached to Hanna’s name on my phonebook. ^_^

I was actually planning to sleep on our way to Tagaytay but with their kwento’s and chikka’s, I did not. I learned a lot of new happenings in La Salle, what’s latest and what’s not.

Our first stop… Peoples Park. Funny, but it was my first time to reach that top ^_^ There we had our breakfast: coffee/hot chocolate and krispy kreme donuts. After that, badminton at the top of the mountain was really fun! Hahaha! Hindi namin inalintana ang hangin at ang init ng araw. Then we just move around the place and took some pictures then we went down to buy pasalubong. I bought bananas, espasol, bayabas and mangga.

Then we went to Taal Vista to have a great view of Taal Volcano but unfortunately, the view deck was under renovation. Then we went straight to Olivares Plaza where we spend our shopping galore ^_^ Who said ukay is not fun???

With our stomach already empty, we chose Teriyaki Boy to satisfy our hunger. I was actually imagining Sinigang na Hipon and Nilagang Baka at Dencio’s but my craving for Filipino food stopped when my orders Ika Tepanyaki, Yakimeshi, Miso Soup and Watermelon shake were served on the table. ^_^

More tawanan and kulitan after that, and then we went back to Dasmariñas with tiredness but with so much happiness in our hearts.

You are right if you think the next trip is already planned!

P.S. Speaking of Tagaytay, Angels also took me to Picnic Grove last time. That was their way to help me ease the sadness I was feeling during the “dark times”. Soon, I will post some pictures of that one day warm moments with Angels early this year.

A Chat With A Dear Friend (My Version)

"Muriyama: Mam naachieve nyo na po ba yung purpose bakit po kau umalis ng ITC?"

…it took me a while to answer his question. I couldn't really think of one specific reason why I left my previous work. For me, it was a combination of broken heart, broken plans and broken dreams. I was a broken person.

I told him I had a lot of problems that time and I could handle it spending time with the same people around me. It was just hard for me and I need to move on. When an opportunity came to me that time, thanks to Infinity, I grabbed it easily but in doubt…

Eight months passed after I left my second home, some things are different now but some things will never change… FRIENDSHIP.

The answer to his question was a simple ‘yes’ or ‘no’, but I didn’t answer right away. It was a time for me to reflect on my real purpose… to move on. Now while writing this entry with the same question being asked to me, my answer is …Yes.

A Weekend With My Families

10:00am, Saturday, I was still on bed when I received text message from Raed asking if I would come to Infinity’s invitiation. I said yes but I got back to bed again :D. I woke up after an hour, Jewel texted me that they were already on their way to SM Bacoor. Waaa, hindi pa ako naliligo!

I was a bit late when I got to Infinity’s place in Bay Town. When I saw her house, naimagine ko yung bahay ko :D I would write an entry about it maybe next next month, kapag natapos na talaga sya.

The last time I saw my best La Salle buddies was when I had my despedida party. That was so sad. I’ll write about it some other time. We call ourselves as Angels. We even had our own mailing list in La Salle as angels@dasma.dlsu.edu.ph. Haha! Courtesy of our Network Administrator, Flooney. We had there our kulitan messages and exclusive tsismisan conversations. Hayyy, I miss the good old days... when I chose ITC to be my second home and still is. Even though we are separated by distance right now, I can still feel the comfort and happiness I felt before whenever I am with them.

Only Jewel, Infinity, Gabu(Lone's son), Lone, Polin (Jewel's daughter), Raed and me were present.

Our favorite foods were served, prepared by Infinity’s Mom. She already know what are our favorites! She prepared Rellenong Alimasag on Tahong’s Shell, Sinigang na Hipon, Crispy Pata (Jewel’s best friend), Adobong Tahong, and Fried Chicken just for us. Bundat kami pagkatapos. Paguwi namin, may pabaon pa si Daddy.

Polin and Gabu are my Inaanaks.

Infinity, one of my best buddies! Love ko yan.

Here are other pictures from Infinity's camera. Ganda talaga ng bahay ni Infinity sa Baytown

Snowbell, Flooney and Prudence weren’t there.  I hope we will see each other next time.

Sunday, after our Church service, we went to SM Bacoor. And daming tao. Nagkayayaan lang kanina. SHopping shopping.

We ended up at the grocery. Birthday kasi ni SisDoll sa August 15. We'll celebrate it the next day.

That was my weekend. I am having conversation with Avalanche right now at YM. Kamustahan lang at sumbong to the max. :D

Leaving My Second Home

I have only 5 more days to spend my time here in the office before I finally bid my goodbye …for good. My friends keep asking me why I decided to resign. Honestly, I am still quite unsure about this decision but the contract has been signed @_#.

My sister told me that she has this kind of uncomfortable feeling too when she decided to leave her first job in London. She has stayed there for more than four years when she decided to leave. Like me, she thought that she made a wrong decision whenever she feels the stress and the pressure. She is now on her 2nd year in this new hospital and everything she has right now was the fruit of her courage and perseverance. I know this new job is not going to be easy for me and my own success relies only on me.

I Can't Read Omens

I had a 2-hour one-on-one meeting with Sir Deo this morning. ^_^ Love it! I can’t believe we lasted that long discussing Accounting matters, very serious IT matters. Hehehe. I could imagine my seriousness while I was explaining to him our project status and his attentive responses too. Wahahaha. (Parang akong tunay, hindi naman :P) And, one meeting down.

I got very busy at the office the whole day. Good thing I was able to accomplish some, including my plan to visit the bank for my deposit. I requested Raed to go with me for a safer ride to the bank, considering that Kadiwa is a very prone area for snatchers. As thanks, I gave Raed a lunch treat at Chowking. And, mission accomplished.

As I came back to the office, Infinity has an offline message for me. I guess that is an omen for me….

A Chat with The Bride

More weddings on the way…

This month is Flooney’s, then Henry’s and on March it’s Dave’s.

Flooney is very busy. She’s dealing out with her wedding preparations given just for three weeks! But I can see that she is very excited. :)

She asked me to be one of her bridesmaids and I said “Of Course!”.  It’ll be my fourth. First was on Sis Doll’s wedding, next was Batotoy’s then Lallie’s. And when is mine???? Hehehe. My groom is still looking for me.

Congratulations to all the brides! It’s your special day.

It's Nice To Be Back

I really missed my workplace here in the office, especially my computer. As I arrived, I saw this small gift and it came from Maila, thanks Mai!

Of course, I came from a two-week vacation so I need to do some stuff other than my regular workloads. First, table dusting: if only the table and my computer have mouths, they would be shouting, “Clean Me!” and the dusts were an inch thick! (Now, I’m overeacting) hehehe. Second, ms outlook cleaning: for two weeks, I received 85 new items for my inbox and 28 items in my Junk E-mail. Out of these emails, only one is valuable to me, the sales invoice of my training in Project Management this January. Third, schedule checking: I am having a meeting tomorrow with HR people about their system. And my training is due in two weeks! Hello, Makati ^_^, the last time I went there was last March 2007 after the graduation of students at PICC.

I was about to finish some checking and updates from my team until “krinnngg”! I missed the phone calls, really. Caller #1 was payroll, caller #2 was financial, caller #3 was enrolment, caller #4 was human resources, and caller #5 was CEAP and a lot more requests on <<instant messages>>. That’s a normal working day for me.

I didn’t go online in Yahoo messenger. I just forgot to remind myself, maybe because I was focused on my unread emails. Until…

Ms. Concerned Citizen: hey kilala mo po c ruby carbuncle?

Meeyeow: nope. ruby francia, OO. :D

I did something, then I went back.

(You are truly a very concerned friend! Nice, Nice!)

Meeyeow: hindi nga, tapos na ako don. (Another dramatic line from me ^_^)

Ms. Concerned Citizen: Okie.

This conversation made me smile and then laugh today... and then laugh again. Hahaha!Thank Ms. Concerned Citizen. :D

Going Back To School

I am literally going back to school tomorrow, considering that I work in a university. I will go back not as a student but it really feels like being one. I still have few hours to prepare my slacks and my formal top. I need to check up my alarm clock and sleep early tonight because I got too under slept during this vacation. I don’t want to wake up 10:00 in the morning tomorrow!

I am excited but not so much knowing that there would be a lot of work loads and paper works and meetings and calls waiting for me. I am excited to see all of my friends in the office especially Flooney who just told me that she is getting married soon. I need to hear all her stories.

By the way, it is Batotoy’s birthday today. He just called earlier to say thanks to our greetings. He is spending his special day with his wife going out of town somewhere in Canada.

I think I want to sleep now…

It Was A Blast

ITCat Center’s Year-End Party last night was absolutely perfect! It was a b-l-a-s-t! I pity those who weren’t able to come. I was in UK last year that’s why I wasn’t able to celebrate with them. So I told myself that I had to enjoy myself with this year’s celebration. ^_^

I was on official leave yesterday so I went straight to the 888 Restaurant, while ITCat Personnel were taken by the La Salle Bus to the venue and my place is just 10 minutes away to the venue. The party started at 4:45pm and hosted by one of the organizers, Kered. Though he was not prepared, he still made a good one. Snowbell was supposed to be his partner but she refused.

The party was jam-packed with a lot of fun games, presentations, videoke challenge (where I was unluckily selected to sing!), gift givings, picture takings and extremely funny moments, though I did enjoy the food that much. Our group won in the cloth flipping game and the banana-egg-rolling relay.

One of the highlights of the party was the ITCat Awards. I bagged the Bungisngis Award and Ms. ITCat of the Night. Hahaha! I beat Flooney this year for the the Bungisngis Award. ^_^v

How can I forget the Video Challenge!? We were planning to set up Raed to be one of the songers but she paid too much attention in drawing of the contestants, and so that’s why we had no luck of picking up her name from the lots, resulting to Zero, Barry Boy, Snowbell, Me and Prue to be the challegers. Left with no choice, I picked up “Your Love” by Jim Brickman and Michelle Wright. Barry Boy was the chosen winner who sang “Maskara” by Eraserheads.

I was quite satisfied with the gift I requested from Barry Boy, though the mouse pad is not the one I was imagining but it satisfies my purpose of having my calloused palm to have a resting place. The pillow was too small for my back but it comes with this cute design so I may like it in a different level.

The bash was not complete without posing and picture takings. I think everyone got their own camera to capture the fun moments. I brought my camera phone but I took 4 photos only, my purpose was only to be photographed and not to be the photographer. ^_^v

After the party, Flooney, Raed and I stayed a bit longer chatting with Infinity. I missed the old conversations and laughs with Infinity, just like what we did that night. She provided the red wine and some breathtaking, hilarious, censored stories of her love life. Hayyy, I am missing Infinity…

After the 888 Restaurant fun, my girls stayed the night in my place.

We slept with smiles in our faces ;)

Early Christmas Presents

As I came in to my office this morning, I was very surprise to see a Recipe JOURNAL with my name on it. I already guess that it was from Raed, and I was right. Then Fred also gave me a Sanfo Treats Original Caramel Apple soon after. A few minutes later, Flooney came and gave me a box of macaroons! There was really a shower of gifts! I kinda felt guilty because I really have no plans of giving gifts this Christmas because I am saving for something really big. But maybe I can stretch my budget a little…

And that was not the end of it because Henry Boy’s wife cooked Pansit Canton and Pandesal for ITCat Center. Everybody was very happy especially during picture taking with our very own OJT, Dennisah.

Actually, I already told Raed what if I just donate some raffle items like pillow on our Christmas party tomorrow instead of giving something to each of my 31 officemates. Maybe I can check out SM department store for the raffle items.

At lunch time, we had a free lunch courtesy of Prudence. She got her bonus and everyone was teasing her to take us somewhere and treat us for lunch. And she did ^_^. Even though it was already 1:00pm, we still went to SM City Dasma. We shared Chowking Salo Meal 1 & 2. We went back to the office at around 2:30pm.

When I came to my office, I saw a gift from Horhe. Raed and I had Tahong Chips wrapped in cute yellow packaging.

Thanks to everyone who gave me presents even though I was not expecting to receive any from them. Happy Holidays!

A Nice Pillow To Lean On

My back is always aching during afternoon. I don’t think my new chair is as comfortable enough as the last. That’s why I need a pillow like this charming one.

My physical body needs a pillow and so is my emotional condition. It feels like my mind and my feelings need a resting place letting my tired being to have a short break. I just want to be free, even just for a while, from pressures here at work and at home.

Here's a nice poem by DREAMS_BOY4EVER about tears fell on a pillow and it goes something like this...

Last night before went to bed
Thoughts of you filled my head
I have not cried this way in many of years
Onto my pillow fell six silent tears

The first was for your smile that I miss
And your tender lips I long to kiss
The second was for your gentle face
And thoughts of your loving embrace

The third came as no suprise
As I thought of your beautiful eyes
The fourth came rolling down my face
Instead of my pillow, it should be you in it's place.

The fifth came for one reason alone
I felt my love for you wasn't fully shown
I really love and miss you my dear
And there just fell...the sixth silent tear

Happy Crying! :D

What Made Me Smile Last Monday

I can’t help but to write here my funny moments with my colleague, Kered. He’s a newbie in my team and one good thing about him, aside from being dedicated to his work, is that he’s a funny guy that made my Monday an entertaining day :D

While we were on our way to HRMO for an interview with one of their staff about the system that we are currently proposing to them, I had this conversation with him.

Meeyeow: Hahahahahahahahaahahha!

This hilarious moment with him didn’t stop here. On our way back to ITCat Center and were both in silence, I started again a conversation about the year-end party of the company (he’s a bit shy to me, I guess)

Meeyeow: Sana may free "Hamon" tayo sa year-end party no?

Kered: (naïve and very serious, he even got this confused look for me) Hamon?....Ma’am yun po ba yung malambot na tinapay? (Maybe he was asking himself why on earth I was wanting to have that soft bread as a give away to the party?)

Meeyeow: Hahaha! "Mamon" yung sinasabi mo!

Hayyy, Kered made my day smiling the whole time. :)
