It’s Sweldo Week. Weeeeeeee.

This is the longest payday period so far in my stay here in KForce. I guess I need to wait for three more days to get my salary. :( Hindi naman ako masyadong gipit pero I need to save for something. Ang sarap ng feeling na may goals ka kahit pang ilang buwan lang. Sana matupad lahat. :)

I have been working here for 5 months. So One month to go before my regularization. I still have a month to stay harmless here in the company… Kung hindi, tsugi ako dito! Hehehe.

Being part of a one-man project, whew! Hirap talaga. I need to give an extra effort to make things work. Thanks to my ever patient Boss, he guides me in every step of the way. Good thing he is every strict with schedules and deliverables, I become more responsible in a lot of things especially with software developments and dealing with clients. I know sometimes we have opposite ideas about something but the good is we reconcile the difference (he’s very much open for that) and come up with a better idea. Beyond doubt, experience is a great teacher. Like any other project, I know I will face a lot of hardships as the plan goes.

Oopps, 2:05pn na pala. I need to start working. Madami-dami pa tong nasa task list ko. Until next time!

Little Wonders

Meet The Robinsons” was my movie of the week. I find it very colorful and packed with powerful lessons not only for the young ones but for grown ups like me :D I don’t know why I didn’t watch it in theater last year. But I enjoyed watching it in Disney channel this evening :)

Lewis said “…let go of the past and keep moving forward…”, he’s right because you will never know what is waiting for you in the future. Things might be totally awful right now but it is up to us to make some good choices :)

And this song made me cry at the end…

Little Wonders Lyrics

let it go,
let it roll right off your shoulder
don’t you know
the hardest part is over
let it in,
let your clarity define you
in the end
we will only just remember how it feels

our lives are made
in these small hours
these little wonders,
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away,
in these small hours,
these small hours still remain

let it slide,
let your troubles fall behind you
let it shine
until you feel it all around you
and i don’t mind
if it’s me you need to turn to
we’ll get by,
it’s the heart that really matters in the end

our lives are made
in these small hours
these little wonders,
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away,
but these small hours,
these small hours still remain

all of my regret
will wash away some how
but i can not forget
the way i feel right now

in these small hours
these little wonders
these twists & turns of fate
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away but these small hours
with these small hours, still remain,
they still remain
these little wonders
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away
but these small hours
these little wonders still remain

Sunday Is Sinigang Day

We were already up at around 4:30 this morning to go to church. We attended the first service and not the usual 9:30am schedule because CoolJo was on a night shift last Saturday. Since Sunday is a Church Day and also a Sinigang Day, I cooked Sinigang na Baka for our lunch. It has been a tradition at our home to cook Sinigang during Sundays. :D .. name it, Sinigang na Baboy, Sinigang na Baka, Sinigang na Hipon, Sinigang na Tanigue, Sinigang sa Bayabas, Sinigang sa Miso, Sinigang sa Kamias, Sinampalukang Manok at kung ano-ano pwedeng gawing Sinigang! Haha.

Earlier this morning, DaddyDemz picked the Banana Bud/Blossom (puso ng saging) from our neighbor’s banana tree. Nakalawit kasi sa bakod namin… I guess it is legal in the Philippine Law. :D So yung bunga ng Puno ng Saging eh nasa property na namin. Pero nagpaalam naman si DaddyDemz. Gusto nya daw ng Kilawin for tonight. He also harvested some of his Pechay, Okra and Talong. Maghilig sya magtanim. The rest of the ingredients for our SInigang were bought from the grocery. We change from Knorr to Maggi Sinigang Mix (fruity ang asim talaga) So buo na ang Sinigang! I got two thumbs up from DaddyDemz tastebuds ^_^

My weekend is ending… but without watching CSI: Las Vegas, New York and Maimi @ AXN!

Next week will be another tiring week at work but exciting. I have another presentation before the week ends. Kaya Mo Yaaaaan!

July is already on its 3rd week! Ang bilis!

Ang tagal pa ng sweldo.

I gained a kilo this week! Yehey! 6-7 more kilos to go.

My friend infinity has arrived the other day from London; I guess this is another exciting reunion of Angels.

DaddyDemz’s friend has also arrived from Australia yesterday. When we got home from the mall, their barkadas were gathered at our place… may Barkada-Nights-Out daw sila. Ay naku sa beerhouse nanaman ang punta ng mga matatanda.

I am thinking about my Canada application. Batotoy is already asking when I am going to submit it.

JellyPotpot and I had a great time at the mall yesterday. I gave her a treat for getting five 100%’s out of six Long Exams last quarter. Mana talaga sa Tita.

I’ll cook Adobong Pusit tomorrow for my baon.

And for my last thought for this day: I just hope some people just mind their own business instead of talking other people’s lives! I think this conveys a very clear message.

Life in the City

I had a very stressful week and probably also next week. I really thank God because it is Friday. Tomorrow I need to do a lot of stuffs: clean my room, go to the grocery, visit NanayRose and take a good rest because next week will be a tough week for me in the office, adding the bad weather during at night, hay…… and the rising transport fares and basic commodities!. If only time is unlimited for my project but I guess that will bea challenge no more. :D

Well, this is my new life in the city. It has been 5 months! It is rough but I really need this job financially and I guess a whole lot learning experience for me. :) You know I am really satisfied because I still got 8-9 hours of sleep! Knork! knork!

According to my colleagues, Mama Mia and The Dark Knight are good movies to see. Maybe I’ll watch it this weekend… :D

I just got the news that my Sister-in-Law, Piws, got into a car accident last night. Batotoy told us that she's alright now, she just need to have some check up and take plenty of rest. My brother even gave a joke that he's more concerned on the car damages.... they just bought it recently. My brother's family is living in Canada for 5 years now.

Forget

I forgot almost everything that I have to do yesterday. Wait, wait...Is this a sign of aging?!? Oh my god! Wag naman. Basta sana lang hindi na maulit hehehe.

Let me enumerate here all the things I forgot:

-          to bring spoon and fork for my pack dinner

-          to print my Time Accounting Report

-          to log my time of arrival in the lobby (this is so bad!)

-          to claim my umbrella from the guard (nasa akin pa yung claim stub!)

-          to put my tumbler on my cabinet (naiuwi ko pa sya dito sa bahay)

Ano ba?!!!? It only happened in a day. Hindi ako makapaniwala talaga. I hope I am not already having memory gap. Kailangan ko na ba mag –Sustagen Prime???

How Cool Is This? Ha Ha

This sign hangs outside our gate, Jelly made it for our cool business. I and my nieces are selling ice candy since tuesday. :D . My inner child is really shouting for some excitement. At first, it’s nice to see the same kids buying our chocolate ice candy everyday. Ha-ha-ha!

Yes, the same kids! I can count them with my fingers. SisDoll even told us, “Lagot kayo sa mga nanay nyan.”

Hehehe. @_^ Patay! My ice candy really tastes great, I am telling you. But of course, my social responsibility to those kids that spending too much for my mouth watering ice candy… nakakakunsensya talaga. So I asked one kid, “Saan mo nakuha yung pambili mo?”. The kid said, “Sa baon ko.” Hala! Hehehe.

When I was a kid, I was also a regular buyer of Aling Susan’s ice candy. She used to make orange and grapes flavors. Ice candy was P0.50 then.

I made chocolate and melon flavors. It’s funny that my nieces are quite very serious about business thing; they are even suggesting that we make special flavors like buko and avocado! Well, kids know what they really want. The news has spread the neighborhood and even moms and dads are buying. ^_^

Based from our last inventory, the 52 ice candies are down to 11 in three days.

It’s fun! I hope KarlaJ is here with us. This is totally a cool bonding with my nieces.

B.R.A.T

I have no choice but to rush to the hospital with SisDoll this morning. Thanks to her, she accompanied me even if she just came from a night shift. My PhilamCare card is accredited at St. Dominic Medical Center; this is much nearer from my place compared to La Salle UMC. I had four loose bowel movements this morning unlike the previous days with only one or two.

We went first to the Billing section to use my PhilamCare card. Thanks to this benefit, I paid nothing for the examination and consultation. Good thing that the doctor was in. Thanks, Dr. Talco. We only waited for 15 minutes. The doctor asked me what was the problem and then I said, “Masakit po ang tiyan at nagtatae since last week.” She then said…

“Really? Buti buhay ka pa?”

The she asked several more questions. I learned that my case is not the “diarrhea” that I had in my mind. She said maybe it is cause by something else. She recommended that I undergo fecalysis (stool examination) to rule out Amoeba infection. She also discussed about stress, dyspepsia and gastroenteritis. Bad thing, it is in my family’s blood to have stomach problems like the things that she mentioned. NanayRose suffered from colon cancer. Both DaddyDemz and SisDoll had ulcer but they were able to change their lifestyles to maintain their good health. So it is my time to take care of myself now.

I’ve been having bad eating habits these past few months. I realized that I only eat 2 heavy meals in a day. The doctor recommended that it is better to eat light meals every two hours just to make sure that my stomach is not building a lot of acids instead of eating heavy meals in one shot for just twice. I also have this body response that I lose my appetite every time I skip even just one meal.

She advised me to eat bananas and apples. Then I remembered Bunetber’s reminder about B.R.A.T. That’s an acronym for Banana, Rice, Apple and Toast/Tea. Experts say that is one of those balanced diets that can be followed and is stomach friendly. But they also recommend to add additional proteins for this.

I am pampered today. Tatay cooked lunch and SisDoll cooked our dinner. Batotoy called on the phone from Canada asking my condition. I said I just need to rest and take all the medicines that my doctor gave me.

Hopefully tomorrow I can come to office. I need to finish a lot of work.

Absent Today

It’s been over a week that this stomach pain and diarrhea was upsetting me. I am absent today. I just sent an email to my boss telling that I cannot come to work today.

And tomorrow, I am about to leave my current workstation. I’ll be moving to 5th floor with my new co-workers and group mates. I am feeling quite sad, but I have no choice other than to embrace whatever is laid in front of me.

I need to take my medicine and have plenty of rest.
