Monica is the mother of all my kitties. Nagangak sya six months ago ng dalawang kittens [i named them Mimiw and Miming].

Goodbye Leviste – Last Night at PCCI

We finally bid our goodbyes to the building which sheltered us for over three years near Ayala. Okay, we have had a lot of complains about this old building but it brought us a lot more of good memories though. What makes a perfect office anyway?

Well, for me, I care more about the working environment and the people in it… Better facilities after that. You know I came from a simple yet has positive atmosphere in La Salle for seven years and I am no stranger to some 30-year old buildings.

I can still remember my first day in KForce because I got lost and went around Salcedo Village by foot! Hahaha! I got even more confused because the address “Alfaro St” was the one written on the building not the new name “Leviste St”. And the rest is history.

At PCCI building, we left there the band of such friendly yet protective security gentlemen, cheap miryenda at Jolly Jeep, food choices at Paseo Center, bazaar along Ayala Ave, comforting Jaime Velasquez Park, cheaper parking along Tordesillas, accessible foot bridge to Glorietta, a number of Starbucks nearby, and the feeling of being in the heart of Makati business area. You see, the three years gave me that chance to adjust the metro life.

The last day was unexpectedly sad. It caught me off guard. I kind of felt upset. It was just a week of preparation on our part. To break the ice, I took pictures of the place for the last time.

"Rjay, kunyari sobrang busy ka :-D"

Charlie is showing our balikbayan boxes :-D

John and I went around Jupiter St and Buendia Ave to take a look at the new building and to teach me how to get there.  We indeed had a stroll before we roll to Buendia.

"John, tara samahan mo ako sa Buendia. Stroll tayo sa bago nating office :-D"

Of course, there is always better. Currently, the coziness of our new office is so much a plus. I am loving my desk and chair – just forget about the cold air around my neck. I also love the accessibility to a great deal of restaurants nearby so we have much choice now. I am still testing the waters at CyberOne. But I know this change is for the better. AJA!

Here's my new comfy place :-)

And my new LCD monitor :-)

Tuna sandwich

My tuna sandwich doesn’t taste like Country Style’s :’( I did really try! but... it made my stomach satisfied :-)

Instant Subic Road Trip

I slept and woke up the day with the stamina and determination to experience my very first long drive. Together with my very supportive partners in adventure, nothing is impossible… even for an instant Subic Road Trip!!! Yebaaaaah!

Mind you, it was supposed to be “Baguio” Weeee! The plan was to stay at a cheap hotel, just buy few shirts and drive to the highest city! But Joseph, dominated by the coffee during our three-hour stay at Starbucks, got too scared to say the magic word “YES”. Hahahaha! He has a lot of worries but the girls think otherwise LOL! ^_^v

Until we all agreed… it should be S-U-B-I-C! For a city which has a lot to offer, it is no surprise to be the tourist destination among the southern-ers. It is absolutely considered as one of the face of tourism in the north. At this point, I imagined myself racing at the express way! ASA.

After White’s spa engagement at Big Berts, we headed straight to NLEX and had our buffet lunch at a Mocha Blends coffee shop – their rib steak is really GOOD. However, the service is poor enough to make Ken turn red. ^_^v. The crew was FORCING us to get some shake instead of our order, Mango, just because they run out of ingredients and the milk allegedly won’t last after being opened and we had to order shake that uses that special ingredient!  “Eh kung may allergy kami don?!” Taray! Go girl! LOL And why do we have to pay for something we did not order???? Duh?! Anyway, we did not touch the additional bottle of water served to us – “alam nyo na… baka may masamang ginawa dun sa tubig na sinerve sa amin” Hehehe.

Feast Lunch

Ubos

Then we headed straight back to our trip with fully charged stomach and emptied bladders. Mahirap na! hehehe. Just after DAU Exit, SCTEX is almost there. The same view when we had our North Luzon trip but time, instead of turning right, we went straight. And White went ballistic as I reached 134kph somewhere along the bridge. ^_^v it’s a must try! HAHAHAHA. I felt so good and in control. Speed Radar vans are all over so those over speeders like me won’t abuse the place. It is for the safety of all travelers. ;-)

After a three-hour drive from Manila, we finally got to Subic Freeport. It was in 2007 when I last visit Subic during La Salle’s summer outing. The experience is different now because I am more focused on road direction. Being a new driver gives me different perspective on my trips. :-) Naks! Subic has a very strict traffic rules! One mistake and you’ll get ticketed. Good thing I have good instructors! Subic has a lot to offer - from beach to modern needs. It was really the perfect place for me to experience White’s first official road trip.

As we go along the seemingly endless road, our first stop was Camayan Beach Resort where the forest meets the sandy beach. We were so amazed to see the fishes along the sea wall – absolutely stunning! Picture, picture!

It would be incomplete if we couldn’t give White the spotlight. Joseph found the first interesting spot at the LTO grounds. It was an open space with dirt colored floor, perfect with trees background and blue sky. White had its photo shoot.

Since it was too early to visit the resto, we went to Pure Gold for some shopping and saw PBQ736. And another perfect spot we hit on the side of the road facing the sea.

To slow down a bit, we headed to the beach near The Lighthouse resort. We saw beach wedding at a distance. We bought souvenirs and more pictures. Soon enough, we went to Giligan’s and had my most dramatic dinner in Subic. ^_^v

We went back home at 8:00pm and arrived Cavite at around 12:30am. It would be earlier if not for the road accident at Balintawak.

To sum up, our TRIP was not just about the getting there but also to enjoy each other’s company as well. We have necklace/bracelet keepsakes to remember this short getaway. And that made up our Instant Subic Road Trip. :-)

La Salle Visit

After three long years, I finally got a chance (…or courage) to go back and reminisce my good old days in La Salle. Yeeeha! It’s odd that I did not feel any awkwardness at the place at all; in fact, my last day seems like yesterday.

I got goose bumps all over me when I turned left at the UMC intersection, my first time since the last time I turned my back away from my second home. I had to do it for myself. Hehehe, enough with the drama please ^_^v. With so much pride, I drove over the bridge, from which a lasallian could finally exhale from the busy road of Kadiwa. "Pag nasa bridge ka na, nakalagpas ka na sa traffic pauwi" :-D... I had to stop at the guard post. And soon enough, Manong Guard recognized me and let me pass without hesitation. It felt good to see him again.

I passed by Palaruang La Salle and Oval for the first time riding with White. The route I used to know is different now, and visiting West Campus was busted. On my way to ITC, everything I see was green! Nothing beat the old trees defining the road going to my sanctuary. At that point, I was so excited – excited for my eyes to see what my mind has been imagining all throughout my trip.

I met Tech Boys and Joseph at the parking lot, waiting for me to join lunch. I also met Ate Rina, some of my ITC girls and Marvin. Hungry and exhausted from waiting White’s paint job, we went straight to a local canteen outside the campus. We feasted over Sisig and Tapsilog. :-) Momo’s restaurant was my first choice but trying something new isn’t bad. I loved to see everyone in one long table eating together with me!!!! T_T

I went back to ITC building because I had to. My visit wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t see my former work area, my precious place where I spend my whole journey right after finishing college. While being there, I had my kilig moments with my crush, my first love, built wonderful relationships with my lifetime friends, my first heartache, gained a lot of confidence in my field as being Unit Head, did lifestyle changes and even had my loudest and genuine laughs of my life. Need I say more?

The oldest building entrance. I had so much memories in this place

The people who became my second brothers and sisters

Before I went home, I had catch-up chats with Ate Malou - it never gets old ... the same kwentuhan we used to do when we were seatmates. Then Ate Rina gave me pasalubong - with the same motherly care affection as she handed over the cheese corn to me. :-D Thanks Inay Rina!

It would be the cherry-on-top of my visit if I had met Ate Lanie, Tinay and Sheh at ITC building but I can't have everything.

I had few chats with my old folks – serious talks, naughty talks and tsismisan. To sum up the experience, It was the perfect time to go back – unplanned yet the timing was just right…

Animo La Salle!!!!

Smell of Morning

Since I started working in Makati, it feels so sad  that I cannot wake up in the morning and have breakfast with my folks at home. Aaaaw :'( I’d love to but my eyes are totally shut until 10AM. Sigh… :-( But today is different voz I am on a holiday! Woooot!* ^_^v

Every time I see the silhouette of the tree and smoke from the burning leaves floating through the coming sunlight , it always make me say to my self, "God is so good, life is beautiful."

I have to have this once in a while :-) it always worth it...
Hahaha, here's me at my prettiest :-D

The Best Way to Celebrate Earth Hour 2011

What is more exciting to celebrate Earth Hour than having a camping?! Weeeee! We have grilled corns, marshmallows and hotdogs, real camp fire and most importantly – the tent.

“Jaimie, bawal ang manggigising sa gabi tapos mag aayang umuwi ah?!”, I said. And Jaimie immediately beg off :-D Jelly used to the same thing to me when she was little. She would sleep in my room and wake me by 2:00AM asking me to take her back to her house. Duh! Hahahaha. So I really dared to ask Jaimie about that before she drop the bomb in the middle of the night! :-D

Only I and Jelly dared to sleep overnight at the tent. I placed comforter inside, a lot of pillows and wolla – camping at the front yard!  Ang ginaw!!! :-D hahahaha. I only woke up when Jelly tripped off on my tummy when she went out of the tent. Talaga naman!

Overall – it went perfect and got me thinking how we are going to spend earth Hour Next year more exciting than this!!!!

Foamy Sunday

Sunday is a perfect time for me to bring White to the car wash. This time, they’ve upgraded their foamy wash :-D dati parang malagnaw, pero this time, mas maganda yung machine na gumagawa ng foam :-D

Ligo time!!!

I'm more confident parking white now, Going back and forth to SM helped a lot. :-) Weeeee!

Duhat vs. White

Our 7-year old Duhat is going down including Guava and Kalamyas. White’s garage will be built beside our house. It is a sad sight but we had to make a choice.

Teary-eyed, you know I'm not very good with goodbyes :'(

I Almost Forgot Sinigang Day

One day I realized I should cook Sinigang again because for quite a long time,my taste buds got addicted to brocolli. :-D

Mine could not be as perfect as Nanay’s but this is what I love about my Sinigang… I remember her :-)

Kain tayo!

Medium sized prawns @ P460.00 per kilo - medyo mahal kaya most of the time kapag nag kick in na ang kakuriputan ko, Sinigang na Baboy na lang. Hehehe. ^_^v

Maximizing what I got inside the ref :-D

Be careful, chiri! baka mahulog sa kaldero ang camera mo, lagot!!!

Kain tayo!

I Made tacos

… with the small “t” because I got the wrong shells! Sobrang liit at ewan! Hahahaha.

Thanks to Old El Paso taco seasoning, it somehow gave justice to my Taco snack attempt!!! :-D As always, my fans loved it.

Sa sobrang liit ng taco, hindi na nakayang mag zoom-in ng camera ko. LoL!
