Divisoria Adventure II

I got a very busy, hectic and tipid mode week -- turned out to be a great week! Sana hindi na matapos. ^_^

Since last month, I had to cut my budget because I had to spend some money for our house renovation. I will welcome two more families next month. I want them to feel they are really back at H-O-M-E. Raed and I went last Saturday to Divisoria (the mother of all tiangge’s), and instead of buying goodies for myself, I ended up spending for house decorations. Mas nakatipid ako kung i-cocompare ko sa prices sa SM.

Sowbrang daming tao!

Thanks Raed for this bag. She brought this so we won’t have to buy new ones.

Aside from our shopping, Raed and I also got a chance to talk about what’s new to her… what’s new to me…, and I also got to squeeze out from her some of the hottest tsismis (although bilasa na sa kanila, sa akin smokin’ hot kasi nun ko pa lang nalaman hehehe) in my previous work.

And so I ended up missing the good old days again. :’(

Di bale, I’ll get to see most of them on Sunday at Snowbell’s party.

Thanks Raed for the company, I couldn’t get there without you. Hehehe.

I also did enjoy lifting 20 yards of slipcover fabric (approx weighing 10 kilos) hehehe. We shared the load.

The rain did add up to fun! ^_^

I Want My Sims 2 Back On My Laptop

I am so tired right now. I don’t want to see anymore Visual Studio and SQL Server apps on my desktop before I go home tonight. #_#

All I want to do is to lay my back on my bed and put a pillow under my legs. I’ve got a lot of work to do tomorrow; our family reunion is fast approaching; my house renovation project must be finished in three weeks! But before that, I had to wish first for Jasper bus to pass Ayala intersection at exactly 11:30pm later or else I need to stop at Coastal Mall again.

I had to admit, I have been rude to myself for not sleeping on time that is why I have been so tired this past few days. I installed Theme Hospital by Electronic Arts last week on my laptop and as expected, I got addicted to it. I sleep at 3:00am I guess because I want to be in the Hall of Fame but unfortunately, my efforts are not enough. I am still in the Hall of Shame.

Thinking about the getting addicted to pc games again, I miss my Sims 2. The last time I played Sims, I got my 3 daughters to finish college and me getting the highest on my profession as a doctor. Anyone who has installer???

i want my sims 2 back! Waaaaa

Katukayo

Have you ever tried searching for your name in the internet to check out if you might discover that you share the same name with other people you thought never existed?

I always consider my name as unique as my personality :) until I came to discover that I share the same name (and surname) with a girl of my age. It was in 2004, having business email address became so popular with my officemates. It did make sense because I won’t be giving out email address like rainbowbright33@yahoo.com or something like pa_cute_ako29@hotmail.com especially when we were attending Microsoft events and seminars. Since Yahoo offers multiple public profiles, so I tried adding yahoo.com and that was the time I discovered that another person named exists somewhere in Muntinlupa City. At first I wasn’t so sure, but later on I was convinced that I had a katukayo.

And so I ended signing up to Gmail with my named email address.

Later that year, I added her to my Friendster and Yahoo Messenger. She accepted all the invites but we never had a chance to talk. I guess she was not that interested. I visit her Friendster account when I have a chance. Sometimes I still feel awkward that she has my full name. Hehehe.

But here’s another twist: http://cherrie-chet.blogspot.com. The girl is definitely not me and not the other katukayo. I discovered just this week. Well, she has my name and she also has the ‘not-so-usual-nickname’ –- . Hehehe. Check out her website and you’ll see for your self.

Maybe this is no big deal for those who have common Filipino names like Juan Dela Cruz, etc. but for me… it is! ^_^

The Wackiest Gets the Price

I found this picture in my Friendster account a while ago. Believe it or not, we laugh at this for hours. By just looking at it, no words, we just can’t stop to laugh!

The shot was taken by my brother-in-law. This was one of our “Maging Sino Ka Man” nights. Thanks to TFC, we were able to reach Filipino shows in England. We were watching at my sister’s bedroom with our own regular places. Sister and hubby used to lounge on the bed, while I lie on the carpet in front of the big cabinet. Karla would put pillow on my lap and lie down there. We never missed to prepare popcorn or fruits -- hilaw na mangga, fresh cherries, pears, or apples na isasawsaw sa asin.

When they come here on December, I want to give back to them the hospitality they have shown to me while I was there. They have given me the most comfortable caring and support beyond what I have expected from a sister and a brother-in-law.

Akalain Mo!?

I am still paying for abusing my muscles and remaining strength since last Friday. Hindi pa nawawala ang sakit ng katawan ko. This badminton tournament at Blue Racket in Makati City was a very memorable experience for me because I got four bruises on my right arm, muscle pain on my shoulder and armpit, aching butt, bukol on my forehead and a bruise on my right knee. ^_^

Pero naman…… makarating ba sa semi-finals??? hahaha! Here’s the preview of the game. Game 7 with Daisy and Chris was our last game. Sayang, isa na lang pang Championship na :D

Here are some of the photos:

Of course, meeting new friends was one of my goals. Some were those I only see their faces at the corridor or inside the elvator. But after the tournament, nagkakatawanan na.

Right after Game 7, we went straight to Zen’s apartment because I don’t think I could go back to Cavite to get my things for the Laguna overnight outing of our team. Zen has a nice place in Pasig ^_^. At 4pm, meeting place was at the Glorietta, with limited clothes, I just bought swim suit, shorts, top and a capri. At 7pm, we were at Laguna!

Ang s-a-y-a. Videoke, swimming, billiards, kain, inom ^_^v, kwentuhan, tsismisan, tulog. Yun na!

I was with the first group to go back to Makati City. At 7:15am, Zen and I bought breakfast at McDonalds. Buti na lang bukas yung McDo sa Ayala. At 9:00am, I was already at home, I dressed up and gone for the 9:30am worship service at the church.

After church, I went straight to bed and woke up at 2:30pm. Ooopps, may isa pa palang pending task, grocery! I went to SM supermarket with my sis’s family. Super speedy shopping kami para maabutan namin ang The Singing Bee ^_^.

That’s my weekend. Next week, Divisoria adventure ulit with Raed…

Patapon Marathon

With my PSP coming next month, this game would definitely takeover the Tetris fever in my younger years. Patapon is the most played PSP games right now in my office. Even She told me that she was starting to get addicted to the game. Magpuyat ba? Hehehe.

I remember I used to hate Mr. V buying overpriced GameBoy games. Inaaway ko talaga sya. Nagseselos yata ako. Hehehe. And here I am doing the same thing. ^_^ Hahaha!

I guess sometimes we need to let our inner child come out. It is one way to balance things out. However, it should be in a moderate way or else the balance will get ruined.

Happy playing!

The Busy Week

Morning of Saturday last week I went to a Jollibee Kiddie Party of my officemate’s son. He turned four. The proof that I enjoyed the party was that I even joined one of the games for growies, the look-a-like contest. I picked Angel Locsin (hahaha!), Zeny was Lucy Torres and the rest were Anne Curtis and Marian Rivera. We were asked to show our talents and through the audience’ round of applause, Anne Curtis won. I think she’s my officemate’s neighbor (madami kasing kasama, hahaha!)

After the party, I was supposed to go with them for binyagan event of another officemate in Makati but I need to go home because I got so excited to receive the Flat TV and Home Cinema System I bought from SM Bacoor a week ago. Along Kalaw St in Manila, I bought original pirated DVDs of live concerts, 4 videoke DVDs and TV series :D

At 4pm, everyone at home was getting depressed that no delivery was coming yet and of course the excitement was spoiled. I called SM customer service to check the status. The girl said all deliveries on that day should be finished by 9:00pm, oo nga naman maaga pa para mag-panic. At 6:30pm, someone knock at our gate and whoa! The boxes were there! I got three big boxes: one for the tv, for the home cinema system and the other one was for the free tv rack. Although I didn’t have more money for my groceries the next day, my expenses paid off with excitement and more bonding moments in our house.

My next target is Wii!

This week will be a very busy week for me. I got a lot of deadlines and presentation on Friday. Badminton Championship will be on Saturday morning, and our overnight team building at Laguna in the afternoon as well.

Getting Sporty (kuno)

Partner List is already sent out! And my partner is… Che ^_^

Che – Che'T – nice combination. If we’re going to compose our team’s cheer, it would be ‘Go Che-Che't, Go Che-Che't!’. She’s level B and I’m level C, patay tayo dyan. There are limited players in level B so I got dragged up to fill in. Tomorrow will be our first practice as teammates. Hopefully we could build up some good teamwork. ^_+

As preparation, I bought a Nike backpack and a new badminton racket this morning. Naks, excited talaga hehehe. Late bloomer talaga ako. I need to replace my old racket I have been using for years. I guess three years na! Hahaha,my old red Carlton racket was a gift from Infinity.

November 15 Championship, here I come!

I’m a GrandMa Now!

Here are my 3 ½-hour grand puppies. Time of birth: 6:30am. It was very hard but we decided to keep only three of them. The white one will go.

We haven’t decided their names yet but I am thinking of naming the one of them with Sam or Max or Buddy. ^_^

Ooopps! As of 10:14am, another two puppies came out! Waaaaaa. And another black puppy and a white one too. Six na sila!

Three browns,two whites, and a black.

Latest Update: As of 11:50am, there were seven of them! Three browns,two whites, a black and a gray.

DaddyDemz: Ano ba yan, parang factory ng tuta!

As of 2:35PM, EIGHT na sila!!! Another black pearl puppy. ^_^ And... we decided that we'll keep them ALL!

Celebrating Life on the Day of The Dead

Everyone was on a holiday, Catholic’s day of celebrating the reunion of the dead relatives with their families ...

~~~~~~~~~~~~
I liked the weather yesterday, so nice for having a swimming at Oceana in Island Cove. This was supposed to be my treat for Jellypotpot’s birthday, but I did not pay for it actually, it was Mr.V’s.
We had our lunch at Fishing Village, also inside Island Cove. It was a bit cloudy where there thin clouds just enough to covered the sky, thus the sun was not so bright but not gloomy. And with the cool winds, perfect for picnics!
I think we waited the food for almost an hour! We also noticed that all huts were occupied by guests, families everywhere, and normal for a holiday like last Saturday. And because of the liquor ban on that day, “Lasinggeros” like CoolJo were very disappointed. Hehe. But there was a loop hole; we saw the hut across us got a bucket of beer then the waiter told us only foreigners could order beer! CoolJo even joked that he is a Chinese. After a while, we noticed that beers were served. Sobrang dami siguro ng nagreklamong customers.
After the bountiful lunch, we went straight to Oceana for the main event -- the swimming.
There were few people inside unlike during summer. Mr. V promised to send the pictures as soon as possible. I love my head-first glide position at the slide!
Since our Oceana tickets have free visit to Island Wild Life, we went there as our last stop. I think the best part there was the Butterfly Farm because the rest of the animals were the usual ones seen in other Zoo’s I have visited. However, we never saw even one butterfly because it was already getting dark and I guess they were already hiding somewhere. People should go here during daytime to appreciate the beauty of the wild life more.
No sunset was captured, not even the cute little blue bird and the colorful flowers around the park along the pathway. It was because no spare batteries were brought. >_<
At the end of the day, everyone was tired but made us all very happy. If Lola and Nanay were there, it would definitely be happier. They were already gone but they will NEVER be forgotten.
Love you Lola, Love you Nanay...
