Niece's Kiddies

During the past weeks, I mostly spent my time at my eldest sister’s place located just beside our house. I never used to do this in so many years. Before, on weekdays, I used to spend 11 hours for work + travel time and even busier on weekends for my gala and dates.

Speaking of family, I can’t help but to share my five-year old niece’s funnies. Hindi talaga sya nauubusan. Her name is Jaimie Andre, also known as Jaja. If you could still remember Connie Reyes’ show in ABS-CBN with Jericho Rosales, Munting Paraiso, her name was taken from the character of Karlyn Bayot, Lani Mesalucha’s real life sister. The character is Jaimie. That was year 2002.

She’s known to us as WalkOut Princess. She used to do that whenever she gets irritated and she does all the time! She is a total opposite of her Ate JellyPotPot. Most of the time we wonder where she inherited those traits. Baka sa kabilang side ^_^v toink! *joke*

3Just recently, I went to their house because I was not feeling well, DaddyDems was not around that time. I got in and straight to sala and watched TV. Then I heard that little girl was talking someone on the phone. I was shocked with the topics they’re talking about. I even heard her saying, “Sinong mas mahal mo, si <some name> or si <some name> or ako?”. Huh?! Aminin nyo, @kinder wala pa kayong crush?

2One time, my sister BettyB had a long distance call at home and SisterDoll was not around. Jaja happened to answer the phone and BettyB chatted with her. Later on their conversation BettyB joked to her “Jaja, bakit kamukha mo si Kiray?” and the little girl said, “Ikaw, bakit ang kulangot mo kasing laki ng bintana?”. We were laughing out loud while talking about this later that day when BettyB called again. *Haha*

1Everyone would recognize the recent popular song Crank That by Soulja Boy. Of course, every kid on our neighborhood knows that songs. In a neighborhood where Jaja is the leader among her friends, you know the result. I saw them outside dancing and creating new steps for that song one morning. They where chanting “Tinola whammy you!” (Now watch me do)…

These are my all-time favorites.

Lindol Noong Sabado

Madali pa man din mahilo yon. Pagkalabas namin, nasa duyan sya. Natutulog.

Sabi ko, “Tay! Lumindol!”.

Diaries @ 10

I must admit, I am very amazed where blogging has taken me since I started writing last year. Today is my 10th month with Multiply!!! Ten fruitful months of sharing my life with you…

For most of you might ask why it has been a very important thing to me the months I have spent here writing… it is because I want to value the time this hobby has become my companion in my journey.

I stated it with a survey as my very first post I copied from another Multiply site. For a couple of months, no one knew except Raed about this blog site because I didn’t really want to promote it to anyone. My intension was to write blog entries like no one reads them except me. I wanted other people to discover this site by fate ^_^ (like most of my readers right now) and not me telling them the exact URL. Raed’s discovery about this was through Google.

Then a few months more, blogging to me became addictive. And one way or another, it really helped me cope up while I was facing a challenge in my life… And here I am right now, still up, kicking and liking the life I am having right now.

I had few blogs in Friendster several years ago but I don't update it anymore.

Birds Of Paradise

All you need is a sketch pad, a paint brush, water color, a subject and a mood. And then start painting. It feels so sad that I didn’t keep my painting project when I was a third year student in high school. As far as I can remember, it was a painting of a man and a woman dancing and everything is in shade of violet. I got a 90% grade. I should have gotten higher grade if I explained and interpreted my work with a deeper meaning. I just said that I painted it because I like the shade of violet. Hehehe, while some of my classmates even cried while explaining their own paintings. Hahaha. They got 100%. :D

This one was inspired by my niece’s assignment last weekend. Pinaghahanap sila ng mga ornamental plants. Eto double meaning, Birds of Paradise (the name of some bird and the name of the plant). After we finished her project, nag art jam kami.

If I would interpret this drawing, I would say this is somehow related to my life right now. Like this bird, I am not somewhere that I can be with same birds like me, I am alone in a place I consider peaceful, colorful and still facing up feeling the breeze of cold air…

More drawings to come...

In Fairness... Mas Maayos Syang Naibalik This Time

Pillow + Books

The pillow has finally arrived. It is very comfortable for my back. Here’s my working place everyday at the office. Ayun si Pooh, nasa chair ko.

Before dinner time, Zen and Lheo came with me in the bookstore. They helped me to choose books to read. The bookstore actually got this promo of 50% off when you buy books worth of P1,500.00 Here they are:

I also discovered that Zen and I share the same interest in Paulo Coehlo books. In fact, most of the titles she has read, I have read them too.

When Your Baby Is Now A Lady

Six years ago, my sister migrated to London together with her husband and leaving her daughter, Karla, here with me. She was 5 years old then. I became her Mother for almost a year and that was quite a very memorable experience for me…

We became closer as ever…

It felt like I was really her mom. I admit I had my shortcomings but I learned a lot. I remember one time we went to a swimming party for kids. After the celebration, on our way home, she was chilling inside the car. I was really scared. The next day, she got fever and later we discovered that she had chickenpox. I took care of her with the help of my brother, but after two weeks, I got infected too! I was 23 then.

The last time I spent time with her was when I had my visit in Oxford, England. I took her to and from school everyday. We share the same bed. I was again her mom. This December, they will spend the Christmas season and New Year here with us. Everyone is excited!

Today she is turning 10. I hope she will always remember our memories together. Happy Birthday, my little angel…

Wrong Case Is Wrong

My Chinabank online account has been disabled today! My mistake that I overlooked the “Caps Lock” is turned on. I tried my “correct” password three times with the “wrong” letter case.

My first instinct was to look for the Chinabank hotline to report the incident and probably have my password reset (like BPI Express Online does). A guy named “Ryan” answered my call and I told him that I would want to seek his help to have my password reset. And the bad news was…they don’t reset password through phone. The process will be done in the home branch, I my case is Dasmariñas, Cavite. And my agony just started. The reset process is within five banking days, again, five banking days! Ang tagal! Kase daw, ipprint pa sa paper na secured (what do you call that, the one that are used for payslip distribution?) and i-ke-claim sa own branch. Hassle talaga yung process nila. And the guy said that he can only send request for password reset to my branch.

Okay, I admit, it was my lack-of-carefulness-and-presence-of-mind. I badly need to access my account because I must transfer money from my Savings to Checking Account or else the check I issued will jump-and-bounce on Monday! HuHuHu!

Hay, problem nga naman. Bigla-bigla na lang dumarating.

Something Broken Is Healing

Yehey! The wound is healing. Thanks to Betadine and Mediplast. I will be careful next time.

Candies For Everyone

I have a canister with candies on my table beside my computer. So everyone who passes by my area can pick candies there. I’ve been having it since I was on the 3rd floor.

How sweet? may mga naghulog ng donation :D Shoot! I am now obliged to re-fill the canister with candies all the time.

The Other Side of Sharing

I just received my charger I lent to someone from other team/project. I handed over the charger to him earlier in a very neat and cord-tied-up-with-rubber-band condition but after few hours when he returned it back to me…

He put it on my table and it looked like this… and the built-in rubber band is missing

Guys, are you always like that??

I don’t actually mind the extra effort I have to do to tie again the cord but it just gave me a bad impression to the person.

Pizza From a Friend

It is Gemz’ birthday on Monday but she decided to have a birthday leave on the said date. So the blowout bash got >> fast forward >> today. Gems were was the first one I got to get close with here in KForce. And that I think helped me a lot to adjust very quickly during those days. I know her to be an avid fan of Sponge Bob Square pants cartoon, a very sweet Tita to her niece, certified Kikay and shopping addict, WrapTrac boys favorite, a girl who has a very contagious laugh (pag tumawa sya, mapapatawa ka na din) and hopefully a professional photographer someday. Also, it was unknown to me that she was Flooney’s college mate who also happens to be one of my best buddies in La Salle. Oh, what a small world!

I never felt any dull moment with her. I would say our personalities complement each other for the reason that we have almost opposite characters as I have known her for over 6 months. She has a very strong personality who speaks out what she has in mind; while I am the one who is a silent type and very secretive as she claims :D.

The pizza is almost finished. Sarap.

Advance Happy Birthday, Gems.

I wish her good health and a happy life!

I had this conversation with her this afternoon:

Times Like These, You Need...

… A camera. To capture stupid moments like this.

I failed to do multitasking this morning when I was preparing for our lunch and at the same time watching US Open Women’s Finals L-i-V-e via Satellite @Balls Channel.

Cutting Sayote is no good in front of the television while shouting and screaming over Serena’s errors. The result: badly wounded finger.

Lord, thank you I can still type on my keyboard.

How's Your Weekend?

How’s your weekend? Mine, I would say, is a lot better than weekends that I could remember just staying the whole day inside my room [senti days].

Saturday is grocery day so JellyPotPot and I went to the SM. But before the main event, we went first to Quantum (at naglustay nanaman ng pera ang pamangkin ko…) But she was able to win something. She got key chain and stationery.

Going to the mall without eating is incomplete. Again, we munched at Pizza Hut (as always). She can’t ever complain, ako kaya ang magbabayad. But I know what’s her favorite, Pizza Super Supreme Cheesy Pops with Cheezy Dip!

I was 5 years old when she became my first formal teacher in school. Shocks, I am 28 now! She’s been teaching for more than 20 years na. Right now, she’s already owns a school and she’s Jaja’s teacher in Preparatory level.

And then our last stop was at the supermarket. Well, as usual, Saturday ang daming tao. We spent 15 minutes at the counter. Next week, we'll have a badminton session at Lotus Mall, maiba naman.

Earlier today, aside from going to church and watching replays of US Open Tennis tournament in cable, I also spent my afternoon bonding with DaddyDemz and SisDoll’s family. Ate prepared Chicken Sotanghon and I grilled some corn.

Federer fans like me are very happy to see that he’s up to the finals at US Open this year!!! Way to go, Roger! I am looking forward to see him beat Nadal! But Nadal should beat first Murray. Weeeeee.

The Wait Is Over

At last, my evaluation result was finally discussed to me last night. Though two weeks delayed, it was really worth waiting for. An hour before I went home, my boss invited me for that purpose. We went inside the pantry because all conference rooms were occupied at that time. Nice place, hehehe, nag amoy Adobo ata kami kasi may nag init ng ulam sa microwave. @_@

The comments were discussed to me one by one. I was amazed to read Ms. Rome’s and Sir Ted’s comments on my key strengths because they have written there things about my work that I wasn’t really expecting to be noticed that way. I thank them for recognizing my strengths and my contributions since Day 1.

For me, my evaluation wouldn’t be complete without giving me areas for development. And I have one. I always have a room for improvement. And with that, I am committing myself to work for it and do better…

And the verdict: ….Recommended for Permanency :) wooohooo

This is my 130th entry <^.^>

Relax

This kind of music I want to hear on a bright Sunday afternoon, while relaxing on a beach chair under the shade of the tree, zipping my favorite mango juice. ooh.

I am listening to it right now at 93.9FM radio…

"Lucky"
By: Jason Mraz feat. Colbie Caillat

Do you hear me,
I'm talking to you
Across the water across the deep blue ocean
Under the open sky, oh my, baby I'm trying
Boy I hear you in my dreams
I feel your whisper across the sea
I keep you with me in my heart
You make it easier when life gets hard

I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Ooohh ooooh oooh oooh ooh ooh ooh ooh

They don't know how long it takes
Waiting for a love like this
Every time we say goodbye
I wish we had one more kiss
I'll wait for you I promise you, I will

I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Lucky we're in love every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday

And so I'm sailing through the sea
To an island where we'll meet
You'll hear the music fill the air
I'll put a flower in your hair
Though the breezes through trees
Move so pretty you're all I see
As the world keeps spinning round
You hold me right here right now

I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
I'm lucky we're in love every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday

Ooohh ooooh oooh oooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ooooh ooooh oooh oooh ooh ooh ooh ooh

Just A Day Starter

Hmmm, what is new?

I am excited about the new Dakki Pillow I ordered from a colleague. It is 16”x16” Pooh face designed pillow with tassel on the sides. I hope it is not too big for my office chair. I was actually looking for a Tigger design kaya lang wala yung sya lang. So I opt to have Pooh na lang.

The result of my evaluation is… wala pa din :D I am not excited about it anymore. But I am still curious and interested about the “Needs Improvement” section. I can smell a lot of SL and VL.

First week of the month, bayaran nanaman ng bills sa bahay. Electric, water, cable, telephone and … nevermind. SIsDoll texted me, "...Deadline on Friday..."

It’s 3 minutes before I start to work. Some people patapos na ang araw nila, ako nagsisimula pa lang. Madami pang tasks for today at status reporting nanaman bukas waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
