Visiting Mom

We went to visit Lola Inching and NanayRose last Sunday at the memorial park. I just realized how irresponsible I was when I kept on requesting DaddyDemz to come with us while he kept on refusing since last week. He had a lot of excuses.

On my calculation, when my mother died, that was his first and last to see her there… he has never come back… My mistake, I was so insensitive to know that he doesn’t really want to go there.

When we got there, most of the people were busy sweeping the ground, cleaning the area and trimming the grass while most kids were running and playing, not aware of the solemn place they were in.

On Thursday, we’ll get back there to put boundary marker on the ground just like other families do so no one would accidentally step on it since we will not be there on November 1st.

I don’t know if I am going to ask him again to come.

Sleepy

Fighting the sleepiness I am feeling right now is no easy for me. It’s 3:18pm. Even though I am on earphones mode with high volume level, my tired eyes are just closing and I keep on yawning from time to time.

I think this is the combination hot shower I took after the badminton session earlier at The Zone from 11:00am-12:30pm and the Spaghetti & Chicken Meal I ate from KFC.  I am supposed to be energized but why I really want to lie down on a soft bed and take a deep sleep so when I wake up, it’s 11:00pm already. Hahaha. Bad Cheetah!

Some of my officemates were hiring a badminton trainer for P250.00 per hour. I am still thinking twice if I will join them next session or not because I don’t think the price is right. ^_^ ang mahal ata. But I really want to learn the correct foot works and strategies. Anyway, I still got a week to convince myself.

It excites me every time I think about the tournament, though sometimes watching them play makes me feel a little bit hesitant to join the match. Anyway, it is actually the camaraderie and the experience that matter most…

Today, I was introduced to Ms. Cecille Hayag, another Kforce employee from other team, who happened to be an instructor in La Salle last 2000 and also Daisy Tolentino. New friends! ^_^

Oh, I got it now why meeyeow is sleepy! It’s been more than a couple of days I sleep for only 5-6 hours. The IS team building last Saturday, Church day last Sunday, Yesterday I went out early to take care of some documents and Today for the badminton. I’ll try to sleep 10 hours tomorrow.

The Evolution

I dedicate this entry to all the mobile phones I have owned for the last 7 years that gave me opportunities to connect to the mobile world ^_^ This post was inspired by Pipay’s new Motorola camera phone she bought just a week ago.

My very first mobile phone was a Nokia 3310 I bought after college, around Year 2001. I got it through installment, SIM lock to Smart! Sinong ayaw magka-cell phone that time? Wala!!!

Then after a year, my sister gave this Nokia 8210. Though has a sentimental value, with a lot of saved text jokes and precious quotes from my friend, I gave my Nokia 3310 to DaddyDemz with lots transition training and tutorial sessions! Hehehe.

I have to mention here my Baguio vacation with some ITC friends in 2003. The date was February 26 when my Nokia 8210 got snatched from Mr.V’s jacket along Burnham Park. I felt bad for a while because it was BettyB’s gift for me, then I moved on after that. :D Pinasaya na lang ako ng mga kasama ko para hindi masira lalo ang gala. Hehehe.

After few months, my sister BettyB came back from London para sunduin si Karla from my care, and gave me again a new Nokia 6510 cellphone! ^_^ Sinuswerte nga naman, pero malas pa din.

Year 2004, my sister’s family went back from London, at alam nyo na ang kasunod nito… May bago ulit akong cellphone, Nokia 7210. Then it was Flower Festival again in Baguio City. February 2 was the date, again at the Burnham Park, na snatch ulit ang cellphone! This time, nasa sling bag ko na sya. So please, watch out your bags and pockets when you are in Baguio City. Mahirap na matyempuhan. That day was Infinity’s birthday, we’re suppose to go to celebrate somewhere pero hindi na natuloy kasi nawalan nga *ULIT* ako ng cellphone. One is enough, two is too much. I guess it was the combination my carelessness and other’s aggressiveness.

With Mr.V’s sympathy and empathy for me, he gave me his Nokia 7210. Unfortunately this one lost again. Then I got Nokia 3660 that I purchased in SM Bacoor for P20,000.00 Aaminin ko hindi ako masyadong gumagastos sa mga gadgets… nasanay siguro ako na binibigay lang sa akin. Kaya kahit naghihinayang ako that time para bilhin yon, na excite din ako nung nasa kamay ko na ^_^. New cellphone – daming ka text, picture dito, picture doon hehehe.

I still feel ashamed whenever I had to tell the story of my lost cellphone list. My Nokia 3660 is added to this list. I was at SM Bacoor that time shopping at the department store for our summer outing, then when I checked my bag…

This was the most depressing of them all because I was the one who bought it. With this one, I cried… then Mr.V to the rescue, he bought me a new one, the Nokia 3120.

In 2005, when my sister came back again from London, >_< , I had a new one once again, the Samsung D600. I gave back to Mr.V the Nokia 3120 and he gave it to her sister.

Then I went to London in 2006, this time, I was the one who visited them. My sister bought me again a new Nokia 6880 which I used when I was there. When I got home, I got a new one again ^_^! Sony Ericsson K800i, SIM locked to Vodafone. I just gave the Nokia 6880 to SisDoll. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find someone who could unlock Sony Ericsson. :(

So Mr.V gave me again the Nokia 3120, which my current cellphone right now and I still have the Sony Ericsson K800i for other purpose.

This is their story.

A Day Strolling At Tagaytay

Another event added to my life’s book and it was everything but fun. My sleepiness from last night’s work didn’t get into my way to enjoy the day. This is my comeback travel down south after I left Dasmariñas and transferred to work in Makati City.

I went to Tagaytay. I was with friends I consider as my little sisters and brothers. This is the kind of gimmick where I miss Fred’s presence. They were my team mates in La Salle. They were those who supported me, catch all the burden of loosing a team mate, and continued my dreams for ITC. I had them at the other side.

At 6:30am, the early bird didn’t catch any worm. Believe it or not, I came earlier than the organizers :P. Hehehe. Maam Trix wasn’t able to come due to some family affairs. Marvin, Ruby, Derek and I waited each other at Walter Dasma. Marvin brought his van. While on our way to Silang, I thought we left Hannah at Dasmariñas. Then I called her number on my phone... Someone picked up and I answered, “Hello?” and on the other line, someone responded “Hello?” The felt voice was just coming from not afar. Derek and I were facing each other, puzzled! Then suddenly <laughter> filled our car because it was actually Derek who answered the phone. Ooops! His number was attached to Hanna’s name on my phonebook. ^_^

I was actually planning to sleep on our way to Tagaytay but with their kwento’s and chikka’s, I did not. I learned a lot of new happenings in La Salle, what’s latest and what’s not.

Our first stop… Peoples Park. Funny, but it was my first time to reach that top ^_^ There we had our breakfast: coffee/hot chocolate and krispy kreme donuts. After that, badminton at the top of the mountain was really fun! Hahaha! Hindi namin inalintana ang hangin at ang init ng araw. Then we just move around the place and took some pictures then we went down to buy pasalubong. I bought bananas, espasol, bayabas and mangga.

Then we went to Taal Vista to have a great view of Taal Volcano but unfortunately, the view deck was under renovation. Then we went straight to Olivares Plaza where we spend our shopping galore ^_^ Who said ukay is not fun???

With our stomach already empty, we chose Teriyaki Boy to satisfy our hunger. I was actually imagining Sinigang na Hipon and Nilagang Baka at Dencio’s but my craving for Filipino food stopped when my orders Ika Tepanyaki, Yakimeshi, Miso Soup and Watermelon shake were served on the table. ^_^

More tawanan and kulitan after that, and then we went back to Dasmariñas with tiredness but with so much happiness in our hearts.

You are right if you think the next trip is already planned!

P.S. Speaking of Tagaytay, Angels also took me to Picnic Grove last time. That was their way to help me ease the sadness I was feeling during the “dark times”. Soon, I will post some pictures of that one day warm moments with Angels early this year.

My Way of Saying Thank You

I have a friend, let’s call her Amber.

She’s a sweet, pretty petite girl with a very strong appeal with boys ^_^ I met her in college. With our surnames starts with the same 3 letters, we used to be sitting next to each other in class where the teacher set the sitting arrangement alphabetically. Though we were close to each other, we still belong to different set of friends. She was with the socialites and I belong to a low profile group.

She has been very nice to me, even her family too. In mornings, her father would suggest to pick me up going to school, even changing from the easier route so I could ride with them. I would save money because it cost me nothing to get to school. With P70-80.00 in my pocket, I could take miryenda from my daily savings.

She would give me things I could never afford, take me to movies with her and treat me to Little Ceasar’s and Pizza Hut after school. She provided me things that an ordinary scholar student like me couldn’t manage to pay for.

Whenever I was with her, I never felt insecure. In some ways, my college life was touched by her. Status in life is definitely not a barrier in friendship.

We never see each other since we went to a funeral of our classmate’s mother. She was still same sweet friend I used to know. That was years ago. I even searched her name in Friendster but I guess she uses a different name. Maybe someday, I will be given a chance to say “thank you” in person and I will not take that for granted.

To Amber, wherever you are, you definitely made a difference in my life :)

To all your friends, tell then how thankful you are to have them. :)

Now asking myself, ‘Would there be anyone who can say that somehow I made a positive difference in his/her life?’

… I still do not know.

The Wish Bone

This is my new number 1...

While eating chicken during their lunch…

Yaya Ailyn: “Jaja, Wishbone! Wish tayo!”

Jaja: “AYoko na. Hindi naman totoo yan eh… Hindi natupad yung wish ko!”

Yaya Ailyn: “Eh ano ba ang wi-nish mo?”

Jaja: “Sana makatapos na ako ng pag-aaral. Hindi naman natupad.”

May pahabol si DaddyDemz...

While watching television...

Anong Book Ang Binabasa Mo Ngayon?

I just finished ‘The Gift’ novel by Danielle Steel last night. I usually read book before I go to sleep. Again, I didn’t like the ending similar to ‘By The River Piedra I Sat Down And Wept’ by Paulo Coelho. Both didn’t end the way I wanted them to be. >_< Fine, I am not the author, I was just the reader! Hehehe. ^_^ But I really enjoyed the rest of the story. Soooo much lessons to be learned and this is something of what I am after.

For my next reading, I would like to pick ‘Brida’ of Paulo Coelho, just recently released in English. It is already available in PowerBooks. Ikaw, anong book ang binabasa mo ngayon?

The Wrong One

While having dinner last night with my colleagues at the long table in our office, I discovered something embarrassing about me but I guess no one ever noticed <or they just kept quiet>

I was wearing different earrings! …the whole day until dinner time! I suddenly remembered that I was in a hurry that afternoon. I mistakenly picked that round one, the wrong one. Well, sure thing I’ll be careful next time.

Magbugtungan muna tayo. Eto habang nakikinig ako ng radio kanina.

DJ Laila: “Eto na si Kaka, bubuka-bukaka…”

Contestant: “Zipper!!!” [shouting and with so much confidence()]

Ay shunga!

Cleanest And Greenest Barangay

Cool! Our humble Barangay won the Cleanest and Greenest Barangay Contest in Bacoor. This is part of the 336th Bacoor Day, a week-long celebration from September 23-30, 2008.

DaddyDems was also very proud because his vegetable garden was visited by the judges as advised by our Chairman. Judges were representatives from DENR and DSWD. Speaking of DaddyDemz’ garden, he has there talong, ampalaya, kamatis, pechay, kabay, kamoteng kahoy, kamote, monggo, mustasa, kangkong, harabilla, patola and sitaw plants which everyone from our neighborhood can pick the vegetables when they need them.

Bacoor is alive once again. ‘Nagmamasigla kasi si Strike’. ^_^ I bet Gems will smile reading this statement. A lot of job fairs, road works, clean-up projects, contests and other noticeable developments are being done since Mr. Revilla consumed the Office of the Mayor.

On my way to work, while waiting for the tricycle this afternoon, I took some shots of the road on my left and right side. As you can see, each side is painted with blue and yellow. At yung parang Big brother House, Barangay Hall namin yon. It was painted purple before the contest.

Dito ako tumatayo at nag aabang ng tricycle tuwing alas 12 ng tanghali.

Our Barangay received P250,000.00 cash and a trophy which our Chairman boasted through a motorcade within our district last Sunday.

A Chat With A Dear Friend (My Version)

"Muriyama: Mam naachieve nyo na po ba yung purpose bakit po kau umalis ng ITC?"

…it took me a while to answer his question. I couldn't really think of one specific reason why I left my previous work. For me, it was a combination of broken heart, broken plans and broken dreams. I was a broken person.

I told him I had a lot of problems that time and I could handle it spending time with the same people around me. It was just hard for me and I need to move on. When an opportunity came to me that time, thanks to Infinity, I grabbed it easily but in doubt…

Eight months passed after I left my second home, some things are different now but some things will never change… FRIENDSHIP.

The answer to his question was a simple ‘yes’ or ‘no’, but I didn’t answer right away. It was a time for me to reflect on my real purpose… to move on. Now while writing this entry with the same question being asked to me, my answer is …Yes.

Crowning Glory

Here’s another drawing I did over the weekend using poster color and pencil. I call it “Crowning Glory” as it shows the pale girl becomes beautiful wearing her long black hair with some hair blown softly by air. Kahapon ko pa pinag iisipan yung magiging subject ng drawing ko. I actually wanted something dark/black. And I ended up with painting a girl with long black hair. My model here is Jaja. Iniba ko lang yung hair kasi curly ang hair niya, ginawa kong straight. Pero yung cut ng face, kinopya ko sa mukha ni Jaja.

Hair is truly the crowning glory of this girl.

Have You Ever Wrote A Poem For Someone?

Someone did this for me…

UNTITLED

(09/16/2001)

Can’t imagine how happy iam when you came

How fast this heart of mine you’ve tame

Every minute in my head is your name

Rest assured that forever I’ll be the same.

Remember me whatever you’re doing

In times of loneliness, happiness I’ll bring

Each passing day you’re safety I’ll be praying

Before going to bed and after waking.

Everlasting, that’s how I plan to stay

So much care, that’s what I’ll give you every day

Pray, so that evil will be out of your way

Endure, in the end you’ll be happy and gay.

Leaving me I hope you will never

End of this may last ti’ll forever

Title is in every lines first letter

A girl that are now getting fewer.

Too Much of Something is Too Much

Remember the candies I have been sharing with my officemates for a couple of weeks now? It became a habit for them to drop by to my place to get some candies. And I am still getting donations for the next supplies. My boss has been my biggest customer. ^_^

Yesterday, I heard from the next cubicle that he was having toothache. Ooops, too much candy is really bad for your teeth. He even took a half day yesterday and still on sick leave up until today –- visiting the dentist. @_@
