This one was a very fist book gift for me. The book is just a half an inch thick so it took me only three afternoon to finish tmy reading. I like the flashback style and the way Gaarder plot the mystery of the 'orange girl'.

The story did make me cry on certains pages. Though I would consider this story as a romantic one, Gaarder also put his philosophical subjects such as human existense in the universe and how life is so short in this world.

Five stars for 'The Orange Girl'.
